There should be a check valve in the guns fill fitting that should seat when you bleed down the compressor. The valve is malfunctioning/ damaged/ dirty.
It's really a matter of perspective. To me paying 100 to $400 for a compressor that probably won't last a year is foolish, but, for the occasional shooter that put 10 hrs run time a year it could be justified. FWIW
I would spray the soapy water around the compressor head where the high pressure line is. Try to see if a gasket or ....is leaking. You need to remove the cover exposing the compressor head assembly.
Hello. You need to get a dead head plug and then try the compressor while watching the gage. If it does not build pressure you then need to look at burst disk, etc....
Don you need to follow your gut and your wallets level for pain. You could be the guy who buys an Alkin and it craps in a month or a Rovair or Umarex or etc...the key will be parts accessibility and service. Any manual or tech specs I have seen on the offshore Asian manufactured compressors are...
I was merely showing you can get a 30 Amp breaker for your load center if need be. The idea this compressor would need a 30 Amp breaker in a 110 vac load center circuit is beyond belief.
Given the design an size of these compressors I would not be surprised if the connecting rods were made of an aluminum alloy and perhaps anodized for corrosion resistance.
If it were mine, assuming both gun and compressor gages are functioning properly, I would connect Argus fill probe to your adaptor. ( if you use tape be certain it does not extend past end of threads to avoid plugging) then open bleed on compressor fully. Start compressor. At this time...
Ok. The gold color item is a sintered bronze filter/breather. My 1st move would be to remove it/clean/dry and blow it out with shop air compressor and reinstall and try it for awhile. ( assuming it still builds sufficient pressure)You may have leaking seals. Good luck and let us know what...
If I am understanding you correctly, this is the outlet filter with pressure gage attached, bleed screw, burst disk and Quick connect? Left side facing crankcase? If so, at what point is it leaking?
Welcome to you. I would start by using a short hose with a plug in the end. If the pressure gage rises the leak is with the bottle. If pressure still does not raise, go connection by connection with soap and water spray to find the leak area/s. Good luck sir.
