  1. N2 Shooter

    Head shot thread

This is an oldie, but definitely a goodie. Shot with the Benjamin Bulldog .357cal at around 30 yards with an 81gr JSB Exact.

This Starling Really Messed Up My Yard

I put some bird seed out to lure them from the nest they built in my house. I've thought about just sealing them up in the house and letting them just cook, but I worry about the smell.

This Starling Really Messed Up My Yard

I think you may be on the wrong forum. If said living thing is damaging my property, I will with all due expedience introduce it to the afterlife. But nevertheless, there are dozens of projectiles and calibers available to airgunners, and weekly the age old question pops up: Which xyz airgun...

This Starling Really Messed Up My Yard

Thanks! One thing to note, is that although the slug hit the Starling in the front, the slug expanded so quickly, and probably fragmented, it pushed the guts of the pest out the bottom instead of out the back!

This Starling Really Messed Up My Yard

I would not use them on those game. The Hybrids Slugs start expanding very soon, and I feel you won't get the penetration depth you need with a 100fpe .30cal airgun at 100 yards. I would rather use H&N Slug II rounds or move up to the Benjamin Bulldog .357cal and shoot FX Hybrid Slugs from there.

This Starling Really Messed Up My Yard

I think I taught it a valuable lesson! Fantastic! I believe the larger calibers are very unforgiving on these pest birds.

This Starling Really Messed Up My Yard

After a .30cal Hybrid Slug splashed his insides all over the place . I guess the Hybrid Slugs really put down explosive damage on avian targets!

    N/A 💢 Talk me into KEEPING a .25cal PCP! — What does .25cal do that .22cal can't?

Sell the .25cal and get a .30cal. When I shoot starlings at 50 yards, I'm literally ripping their limbs off. One thing to note: High velocity and a projectile with a large meplat are what gets things to ripping to pieces. Check out my .25cal starling shot with my thermal scope, and you see...

    What got you started?

Raccoons ripped down my soffit and were living in my crawl space. I live in a densely populated area, so a PCP airgun seemed like the trick.

Not quite what I had in mind. 😅

    Groundhog Jugular

Thanks so much! Yeah that new firmware really adds a lot to the slo-mo functionality.

    Groundhog Jugular

This groundhog was on the move! He was traveling from left to right in pretty tall grass, while he was eating the tasty tops of grass. At this distance with the Hybrid Slugs, I needed to go for a headshot, as I'd be dropping this guy in like to bottom of a rainbow. I made a spot on wind call...

    Starlings with .35 FX hybrid💀

Yeah, it wrecked it right in place. The pop of impact was louder than the shot itself!

    Starlings with .35 FX hybrid💀

I took a starling today with a .30cal Hybrid, but I forget to press record!

    Groundhog Succumbs To Hades

Thanks everyone! I try my best after getting tons of foundation damage.

    Squirrel Vs 357 polymag

Mines was 33 yards with a 160 fpe shot.

    Groundhog Succumbs To Hades

A groundhog is no match to an ~87fpe from a .30cal JSB Hades, especially when it's under 40 yards! Taken with the FX Maverick VP.
  19. N2 Shooter

    Squirrel Vs 357 polymag

It's funny that you posted this, as I have a similar shot on a squirrel with my Benjamin Bulldog .357 shooting Polymags and there was nowhere near as much visible external damage. I guess I have ultra tough squirrels....

    Another Pair of Pest Dispatched

This pesting session landed two critters! I took a starling at 92 yards on the first shot, and took a brave groundhog on the second shot. FX Maverick VP .30cal shooting FX Hybrid Slugs. The ATN X-Sight 4K pro handled the recording duties, and as always, the Ballistic Calculator was used to guide...
