I already have one Vulcan 3 700 mm in .30 Cal. Two years ago I took a small white tailed deer with it. I decided the Vulcan 3 700 mm .25 Cal because I want a rifle to be absolutely accurate at 200 yards. But I do not like to shoot birds on trees with .30 Cal unless I am 100% sure nobody is...
You are right ! Every tool is good or bad depending on what we what it for. I like a comfortable, powerful accurate, semi auto PCP that allow me to hunt making shot up to 160 yards with confidence. I also have a Daystate Renegade .177 rifle that is as smooth as it can be, quiet as a mouse...
IMHO, if Western Airguns finds the way of: A) Making the Sidewinder to be only Semi but with a superb adjustable trigger; and B) Include a way of having a repeatable mark of power selector.... Then.... That rifle will have all the possible pros! The size, the comfort of the Sidewinder plus...
Dear fellows, for right or for wrong (absolutely arguably) the cure for the rabbit hole is the: “””” SIDEWINDER “””” Any time I try to justify a new PCP, I have not been able to find an advantage that can compete with what the Sidewinders already provide me. And I have made the analysis of...
Yesterday I made some shooting at 190 yards with the Delta Wolf .30 Cal and JSB 50.1 grain at 870 fps. After filling and some time of inactivity, first shot is very low (200 fps), but after that, is extremely accurate and reliable.
Another solution is using for squirrel size animals .25 or .30 Cal with JSB Hades. Even if your shot is not perfect, the damage will provide a soon finish. I have taken rabbits with .30 and they do no move "at all".
Those things happens Luis. If every shot we make would be a DRT, our hobbie would have not challenge at all. We need to try harder .... But we will never be perfect.
Yesterday I mounted a small scope on my Bantam .177 Cal and moved the selector of power to the lowest power possible. Then zeroed the scope to shoot at the distance of my highest sealing. Already took an scorpion that was not killable by other means. I do not know what is happening, but in...
I have thought A LOT about buying a Vulcan 3 700 mm in .25 Cal. Yesterday I hit a stone the size of a golf ball at 190 yards with my FX Panthera Compact Hunter .25 Cal ...... Honestly I do not know what else could the Vulcan 3 give me that could justify the investment..... And my Panthera has...
I use my .177 and .22 rifles for target and dove hunting. I use my .25 rifles for target and dove and duck hunting. Whenever I will have the chance of shooting anything bigger than a jackrabbit, I grab one of the .30 Cals.
