You could try running it no load for another half hour, then try again. If the windings are starting to burn their insulation, it’s only a matter of time… Any overheating smells from motor when running under load?

Here is a Crown with 700mm, and a Skout with a 35” (just shy of 890mm) barrel, and another Skout with a 700mm barrel. 700mm works on a bullpup (sorta), but I think the Crowns, Redwolfs etc…look pretty silly and vulnerable with overly long barrels.

You are probably right, but why deny a brother the potential fun/misery that is YoungHeng troubleshooting and repair? I feel that this is an important right of passage, and should be suffered by all PCP enthusiasts …

How old is it?

Is it struggling before it shuts off? What is the temp when it shuts off. How hot does the motor feel?

I’m curious whether a higher reg pressure would yield different results. A shorter, higher pressure cycle could make a big difference … or not.

RTI has yet to offer a 700mm barrel in any caliber to the gen public as far as I know. The last two barrels in .22 that they have come out with have been proprietary, and unique to RTI, I think? Both my LR and RPB barrels have been very good, and it’s somehow encouraging that they are solid...

I know this is obvious, so forgive me, but triple check the barrel o-rings. I changed mine to 90 duro, and have added a couple wraps of tape type dental floss under the o-ring in the past. It’s also easy to slice a piece off if the block sharp like mine was. If the forward o-ring is allowing...

Do you have a theory for why you need increased plenum pressure for the RPB? I hadn’t noticed it, however, the max ammo weight I shoot is 25.39g, and more frequently the JTS 22.07.

I don’t know why they did it that way either. I haven’t noticed needing more reg pressure, but wouldn’t be surprised, you may lose a little to the extra void of the enormous TP? My reg stays at 145 and is very rarely touched. If I ever need to replace the reg, I’ll use a straight, non-adjustable...

If you contact Huggett, they will likely replace the mod inners. Bummer about the gun, no excuse for JTS to not address a known problem …lame.
