Whats the one thing on your favorite gun you wish was on all guns.....

Two primarily: First, the metal-to-metal fit of the RAW pellet probe as mentioned by the OP. It's just basic machine work, like valves in an internal combustion engine. Secondly, magazines that do not use a spring advancement design. The Taipan Veteran and the HW 100 are two that I really llike.

N/A What do you advise? Brands.

Anything mechanical will break. Likewise, such a contraption needs routine maintenance. New owners who come from a firearm background may be disappointed in the maintenance that some air rifles require. Depending on your level of interest and competency in mechanical stuff, access to a reliable...

Which Airgun Dealer Has The Best Customer Service?

The question seems absolutely unambiguous to me. The poster is asking about service from "air gun dealers", and that seems clear. I have enjoyed quality customer service from Martin Rutterford (yes, that is the correct spelling) at Airguns USA, formerly Rapid Air Weapons. He remains the key...

    Daystate LOUD Daystate Revere

When you mention a "barrel end" O ring, to which one are you referring? The TP and its O rings are under the barrel, and cannot be accessed or replaced without disassembling the top and bottom action parts. The breech seal O ring is on the pellet probe. Those are the only barrel related O rings...

RAW Rapid Loud thinking. Can we install FX Impact M3 1st regulator in RAW HM1000X?

How often do you change your reg set point? Apparently, many FX fans must do it daily, which is great for Fredrik's marketing! If you really play with it a lot, then I can see were you might want something closer to the FX adjustamatics. I prefer the big, solid RAW reg, but I've changed it only...

That's the breech seal on the probe. His issue is with the transfer port seal.

FX Not convinced an FX Crown bottle clamp is a good idea

Yes, but air pressure isn't really the issue. With a bottle clamp mounted up front, you are creating maximum leverage against the bottle/action connection. Under normal use, it shouldn't be a problem, and many folks use it, but, using the stock as the mounting platform is strong, and creates no...

Steyr no longer sold in the USA?

I had a Steyr a few years ago. At that time, Steyr made a slip-on moderator adapter that was held in place by a small grub screw, worked great.

    Daystate Daystate revere .177

I'm trying to understand how this happens. When you "reseat" the O ring, then obviously you disassemble the action, and with the top and bottom modules separated, you place an O ring into the transfer port recess. Then, when reassembled, the O ring encircles the top of the brass transfer port...

The flat breech bottom should have nothing to do with it. The TP O rings are captured by the TP itself. Unless it's torn apart, I don't know how it could reach that location.

    Cleaning products

If you are asking about the bore, and assuming the barrel has no tooling damage, I don't think it makes much difference. I use Ballistol, but WD-40 is fine as a cleaning agent (not as a lubricant). Air rifles don't generate the pressure and heat as found with firearms, and there is no jacket...

FX Dreamline has its First Failure

How old and how much had the rifle been shot when you noticed these leaks? Hopefully it wasn't shipped in that condition, but I question the QC of some makers.

Brocock/BRK Airguns that are an upgrade from my Brocock Sniper HP

The only one I own is the RAW, and it's excellent. I've owned a Brocock Sniper, and the RAW is definitely an upgrade.

Daystate Questions about cleaning the Alpha/Delta Wolf barrel

The manual says the barrel and chrono should be cleaned as a unit and not stripped down, with barrel on or off the rifle. It also says that appropriate cleaning solutions are fine. The inside surface of the chrono module is instructed to be cleaned with a pistol rod and soft patch, gently. It's...

For the newcomers on thinking this will be cheaper than powder burners.

We might discover that we don't need half the meds we take! Now, bourbon......

For the newcomers on thinking this will be cheaper than powder burners.

The elephant in the room which hasn't been mentioned is the fundamental design of the PCP. It is a contraption that depends on O rings, springs, valves and seals to work properly, if at all. How long does that combination last before something fails? Compared to a cartridge firearm, not very...

    Newbie question, storing loaded?

I don't think there is any mechanical risk, but I'd be inclined to remove the magazine and decock on the chambered pellet. Then it's just a matter of cocking and firing. Except for a handgun carried for defense, a cocked and loaded weapon of any sort bothers me. But maybe I'm the exception.

Daystate Daystate Revere or Weihrauch HW100 for field target.

I got my Revere down to about 7 ounces with no spring changes, using the sear engagement setting as described above. I think that's about as light as it can be set safely without some gunsmithing. And yes, the Red Wolf feels different. It's a pressure switch and will always feel like one...

Daystate Daystate Revere or Weihrauch HW100 for field target.

I had the same issue. Leave out the grub screw and use a drop of low strength locking compound on top of the set screw. I did it over a year ago and it's been perfect.
