    78G and 79G pistols were made and produced by Smith & Wesson from 1971 through 1980. They were first made at their Tampa, Florida, plant. In 73, they moved the airgun division to Springfield, Mass. In 78, they moved airguns division again back to Florida.

    They made four variations. V350 one for Sears the M1 model and later the 3500. Have all of them too.

    It depends on the particular rifle. Some like to be held a little others not so much. Each one is different. Some like to be held forward others close to the trigger guard. Springers are like women none are the same, and you have to figure each one out.
