I get why people don't want to publish their personal information, but putting your country/state is hardly personal.

📈 How to Calculate a Custom Drag Model (CDR)

Does the software let you begin with a standard drag model? If so you can compare your velocity and drop data to the calculated velocity and drop data, and where your data is different, begin increasing or decreasing drag coefficient at that velocity.

    Unwlecome pellet sorting

Sorting pellets sucks. But visual inspection for major issues and damage is the least sucky kind of sorting.

Filling 4500 psi air tank with a 3000 psi reserve tank

And worth reminding: if you hook up a tank at 4500 psi to another at 3000 psi, the 3000 psi tank will end up over pressure. The amount of over pressure depends on the relative size of the two tanks.

Help Me Decide. I Don't Want To Go Over My Yearly Fun Budget, What Would You Do.

If I ran my compressor an hour a day, I'd spend my annual fun budget on a really nice compressor and keep the YH as a backup.

    Thoughts on .30 pellets?

I find that the 45s shoot better in my RAW than the 50s. Out to 100, good quality flight (no spiraling, consistent BC) means more than pure accuracy or BC. So any differences in the numbers as it relates to ballistic coefficient is dwarfed by actual BC coming off your rifle.

    Tuners

Much less extensively. There's a lot smoother acceleration of the system and its easy enough to tweak the velocity.

N/A 20fpe springer, or just under, from the factory for FT

In the beginning, 90% of your hit rate is determined by your technique, scope holdover setup and ranging, and wind doping ability. That leaves not much difference.

N/A 20fpe springer, or just under, from the factory for FT

The best field target springers are HW77/97 or TX200. Well tuned Diana 54s are quite good if you don’t mind extra weight. I believe most competitors don’t attempt to reach 20fpe even if it’s permitted with the class rules. Even pcp shooters don’t make a serious effort to get real close to...

    Competition practice????

If I were you I'd start by looking for airgun benchrest competition in all of the states you are willing to travel to. The affiliation of those shoots will drive everything else. You definitely have to be careful on the equipment side. A 25y airgun benchrest gun in .177 will not be worth...

    Lapping scopes Rings?

I just use Burris Signature rings everywhere I can, and where I can't, I lay a thin strip of plastic shim between the scope and ring.

N/A dove tail 11mm mystery rings

BKL double strap first came to mind but the rear mount is triple strap. No it’s not BKL. Definitely overkill for a PCP. A magnum springer needs double strap.

    SpeedShot Target Testers Needed!

My club has a competition range we use for airgunning and when I'm recovered from my shoulder surgery I can run a few of these. I could do it at 25/50y and 50/100y. I have a couple of 18ft-lb .177, a 52 ft-lb .22, and a 73ft-lb .30 all shooting pellets. I also have a Labradar that can record...

    Joe Shneehagen accident

A good point: I'm laid up now from shoulder surgery; its the best time to drain my tank and get the last hydro done in its official lifespan. David
