Air Arms TX200 MKIII Ultimate Springer

No, it needs a wide flat forend to shoot off the bench and no cheek piece, lol. None of my Springers shoot well with cheek. But it is a handsome rifle. All Steve's guns are pretty, and accurate.

    What got you started?

I guess I need to thank the liberal criminal progressives who stated the Covid farce. I was afraid that first summer they would shut down the summer outdoor powder burner benchrest matches but figured I could play with an airgun in the yard. I had no interest in pcps but liked the idea of...

Diana Shout out to David Slade/ Airgunwerks

I sent one of my Diana 75s to David to be resealed and have some work done on the trigger. Gun was done within the time promised, price was as quoted, and best of all it shoots great. Thanks Mr Slade. Interesting sidenote on the 2 75s I have. One literally shoots all pellets very well. The other...

HW/Weihrauch Spring piston guns, shooting tehcniques

I shoot mostly benchrest with my Springers. I shoot them like any other rifle. Some like the front bag positioned a bit different, cheek no cheek, shoulder or not, thumb over vs no thumb, but number one.....consistency.

JTS Dead Center Precision Domed 18.1

The 16 version has done the best out of my Diana 54 at 100 yrs. 5 shot groups back to back under 1.5. The 18s not so much.

Without a long story I had a good experience in spite of the individual I spoke with sounding like he was having a bad day. .

Just ordered my second pellet gauge

Good luck. I have no faith its accurate. I quit using it. I weigh for matches and that's it. I measured pellets and sorted them, went back a day latter and resorted them, vastly different results. Pellet weights are all over the place. I sort to .02 grains. Lots of little piles but shoot...

Maximum distance for accurate pellet shooting.

In answer to the OPs question I regularly shot around 2 inches at 100 yds with my Diana 54 springer , .22, in good conditions with flags. I have shot under 1.5, 5 shot groups. I have shot .5 or s bit under for 4 shots but 5 shots changes things. My goal 5 under 1.0. Gun is tuned and I use a...

    Competition practice????

Probably your are about the same distance to us in Blair County Pa. If your a Springer shooter we have a once a month indoor bench match at 40 paper silhouette. We shoot the NRA 50ft target at 20 meters, 66 ft, off the bench with rests allowed front and rear. We reduce that target 20 percent. 1...

LET THEM FIGHT ... English vs German

An old thread, but interesting. We have various guns in our Springer group shooting indoor bench matches at 20 meters. I shoot a lot at 28 yards indoors. Lots of he 97s and a fair amount of TX200s. I have a TX200, a Diana 54 in .22, and a pair of Diana 75s. Both underleavers have been tuned...

    Best light options for ladies?

Ok here is what works for my wife after 25 years trying to get her to shoot powder burner bencherst with me. 2.5 years ago I got onto springers. I could not get her to try my TX200, she could see it had recoil. My second aqusistion was a Diana54 in .22. I showed her how the recoil was negated...

    Lapping scopes Rings?

I never saw any sense in buying quality rings and then altering the dimensions. Too many people have mindless thoughts trying to be smarter than the next guy in my opinion. I have become a big fan of Burris Signature Rings with inserts.

USARB 25 yard / or Meter Nationals 2024

After seeing this post I spent some time looking if there were any shoots this summer in the NE. I checked the websites for the listed clubs and find nothing except Sherwood in Ohio. It's like they dropped out of sight under the new management .
