Finally got a night vision scope!

Westhunter and Discovery generally don’t do too bad with clip ons. If this NK007 gives you lens choice, choose the one that gives you the lowest base magnification.

Finally got a night vision scope!

Nope, me too. So I try to keep the night hunting short and sweet.

Maximum distance for accurate pellet shooting.

My bad. I thought you were looking for the maximum distance for accurate pellet shooting. I was curious also a while back and asked the same question. My topic didn’t get a ton of replies but I just figured most guys who shoot pellets don’t try to emulate a powder burner. They stay in their lane...

Maximum distance for accurate pellet shooting.

@Caliber 22, I understand what you’re looking for. And contrary to internet exceptions, there is a general distance where the majority of everyday shooters pellets no longer are hunting accurate. There will always be an exceptional or unique gun/pellet that on a certain day will surprise you but...

Tuning New Artemis p15 dropping fps

You should have measured the overall length of your reg before you removed the brass screw. If you didn’t, hopefully 51mm will get you close to a good starting point.

82 vs 24 year old 30 yard challenge

Now we have youth. But this liquid may give the old timer an advantage.

    N/A 💢 Talk me into KEEPING a .25cal PCP! — What does .25cal do that .22cal can't?

A .25 slug gun can generally make you more angry than a .22. Your 500mm barrel is not limiting you to just 100 yards. Trust me. But the ATP while a great slug, will definitely not give you the flying bird parts that you seem to desire.

Finally got a night vision scope!

Just make sure your scope has a side parallax knob. And a 2x base power scope is a good choice.

No, once it’s set for a scope, it stays.

Finally got a night vision scope!

I have two Pards. You can wait until one of these guys who hates them sells theirs and hopefully get a Oneleaf deal. Or you can buy a Oneleaf. I got one off a guy here used for a friend. It’s not a Pard but when he needs it, it gets the job done. The first scope we mounted it on, it was a little...

Finally got a night vision scope!

My Wraith 4K Max is a 3-24. It will focus with stunning clarity at 15 yards. The video resolution is also stellar as long as you don’t zoom in too much. But I’m stuck using the reticle for hold unders and overs so precision on tiny pests is tricky. You just don’t have the right model. Like you...

FX Help tighten up SD/ES with Slugs

Keeping the bore as consistent as possible is the name of the game. One of the ways you’ll know if your lube isn’t right is if you have to shoot some shots through your gun before it starts grouping good again. This has happened with several lubes I’ve tested.

Finally got a night vision scope!

I could send you hours of footage of me zapping stuff with a Pard. The key is to have a scope that’s optics agree with a clip on. Some scopes just don’t. A gun with adjustable LOP makes life even better. My guns are primarily day guns. Electronic scopes are just crippling in the daytime. At...

Finally got a night vision scope!

But yes, if you hunt enough at night, you feel like you’re fighting going blind. So you need to adjust the brightness setting down as far as you can handle. Not the brightness of your torch, the brightness on the unit itself.

Finally got a night vision scope!

And this is why all the stupid clip on setups are so appealing to me. Everything you just complained about is not an issue with them. Whether I’m shooting mice from 15 to 70 yards or shooting other things at 160 yards, I just dial my scope, focus using my scopes parallax wheel and it’s game over.

FX Help tighten up SD/ES with Slugs

If your slug diameter is too big, it can cause an ES issue.
