I just received AEA 45 and 50gr. .30 pellets, shot a few groups just minutes ago (storms moving in!) these are the groups at 66yds (All I can get with the time I had) shot the 50’s out of a FX barrel and as of now not impressed! Lots of vertical which I should be able to tune out hopefully...

Well it looks like the RP has it’s first test of the ruggedness of this gun, this is unfortunate but this looks like a week spot? What happens when you drop this 17lb behemoth (plus scope) on its butstock… now don’t take this bashing or contempt, hopefully they pack it in a more protective case...

How’s that heavy barrel attached? Threaded?

I just shot JTS 45gr. Today at 50yd no tuning just threw some in a mag and this is what it looked like. They were running 926fps SD of 2.8! I think I’m pretty much done with JSB in .25 and .30!

I don’t want to sound flippant but unless you check the alignment with quality tooling you don’t know if you’re rings align correctly expensive or not. Trying to keep this alignment is crucial to keeping as little stress on the scope as possible which will allow for more accurate windage and...

Maybe I’ll give them a shot? I see they have Riser’s as well. I will see how true these are with and without the riser’s

I have a Tier one, Aluminum not the carbon fiber pricey but worth every penny and I use mine on a Skout as well you need something stout for that baby! But I don’t need a folding bipod though so it’ worth every penny.

Believe it or not the biggest problem is with the picitiny bases and rings, I’ve tried clamping the rings down then going to the bases? I have used Burris rings in the past but not a fan of them.
