    Skout Skout EVO debut!!

Hey Derrick ... Thanks for the pictures of your Slug shots on the Evo! When I saw those results from the slug shots, i knew i had to try it. I had purchased some of the Altaros Kings a while back, but slugs gave me a headache trying to figure them out initially, i had some problems getting to...

    Lubing big bore slugs?

...airgun silhouette match yesterday at OKC Gun Club. While I shot only small bore with a .25, they were passing around and discussing a powder coating that they had done on some .30 bullets. I'm not sure what the product was that they were using. They are using a section of 4 inch PVC pipe with...

Hunters Supply Powder Coated Cast Lead Bullets

i haven't any personal experience with them but guys using them say it cuts way down on the amount fouling vs a lubbed slug. There are a bunch of articles about powder coated bullets in general not just a particular brand.

Impressive velocity for sure!!!! Right there with a stock texan.....1000 fps with 134 is great😀...What kind of barrel a TJ liner? I'd hook up to external regulator and run it right at 3625psi for consistent fps.with your heavy slugs... Nice powder coated slugs..

Finally made a swaging die that doesn't stink...very much

Yeah hardening myself. I'm a parttime knifemaker so luckily I've already got the setup and background for hardening. I'm using A2 steel and I fully harden it to 60+ hrc and then temper WAY back to 50. I do my final machining hard. Leaves a really nice finish. That's a great idea. Make a...

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Well I stumbled into the HBN powder dry lube thread and decided to give it a try. I tried lubed pellets, HBN coated and straight from the tin. I tried it on CPHPs and JTS16’s. It didn’t help the accuracy of either pellet. Long story short straight from the tin shot the most consistent, at least...

AirMarksman Impact M4 "Copper" Backbone - An Honest Review - It's Disappointing - UPDATE 11/15/24

I'm aware and fully understand the batch difference possibilities in anodizing. Prior to purchasing the "Not Copper" Backbone I worked with Lee at Black Ice Coatings (Utah Airguns custom shop) on an attempt to color match the FX Copper with Ceracoat and Automotive quality Paint. Every attempt...

    Airforce Long Range .308

Good questions, and slug selection is a process I put way too much time into. 1. I sort to remove all pills with any defects. 2. I use a digital micrometer to spot minor to major out of round issues. 3. I then weigh each round and organize by weight, with + or - of no more than 2gr. So anything...

N/A Who's Casting or Wants to Learn?

@EdinGa I wouldn't know which is why I asked. I was trying to make sense of the deformation aspect. I guess the important thing to take away from the article is to be mindful not to place trays too close to the heating element. Even still, if the oven is set to around 400F and left to bake for...

How to prevent rust on airguns?

When I see people use wd40 on a firearm I just cringe. That crap will gum up when it gets mixed with carbon/powder and heat.

    dry lube

i have been experimenting with HBN as a dry lubricant ..i like the results so far Although i am really not seeing a big difference in the fouling of the barrel using JTS pellets, I am seeing an improvement in accuracy only been testing it for a few weeks, but looking positive. Note ..i have...
