I do elvis ammo shake and bake method.. I do up to 25lbs of .510 slugs at a time..It s pretty easy.. I use a regular size oven so 25lbs on a cookie sheet 12 min at 420 f and otta oven strait into water...They all seperate and look perfect no marks..I also use this method on .224 slugs 44-52...

Powder coating or High Tech coating liquid powder coat almost eliminate lead dust..on coated lead slugs. .My moderators are much cleaner only running powder coated slugs...one way to minimize lead exposure and get cleaner barrels with less fouling..

I recently had some accuracy problems with my .510 Texan..Upon inspection cleaning ..I shined a light down my Donny Emperior..Part or the screen had seperated and a single wire was hitting the slugs going through the moderator..I removed the wire and felt cleaned my barrel an accuracy...

Yea I put that stuff everywhere I might grab. I can't imagine how slippery the powder coat would be when wet. Only reason i didn't get the 45 is I have a 13 inch hp max 50 cal bolt action. 6 round per fill. I saw an opportunity to shoot 2 mags vs 1. That was really it. What it lacks in power...

look up powder coating pellets . easy but messy ( do outside ) . Think shooting at night under lights . A guy in GA. sent some to me , very interesting at twilight .

I put powder in a container with slugs and gently shook them around. Individually mounting each slug on a toothpick is way more work than I'm willing to do.
