These appear to not be compatible with orions mags for this platform. However, given the peculiar shape of orions mags. Maybe a different design? Idk.

I understand, you would most likely have to disassemble the rifle to remove the plenum. Figured it was same work. Otherwise it seems either you accept the current results or ditch the 14.3 and go 15.9g which would be closer to the 18g in performance.

You can shoot both from either one. My taipan vet 1 has a choke, my epic 2 and Vulcan 3 did not. They all shoot pellets and slugs well. It comes down to sizing slug to barrel groove diameter. As mentioned previously here. It takes great effort. But once you get the ammo sized to the barrel...

Biggest I went was 65g AVS which was max allowable, but that was with factory mag.

WHEN they return the gun! I'd look it over. Then refund. If they damaged it , keep a cut of the money. You have to cover yourself, If gun is working fine, return their money in full. Few bucks isn't worth your integrity. You will be able to resell it.

My guess is the additional spacing required for the side lever linkage they designed. But other more astute taipan folks would know for sure.

I got one in 550mm 25 cal. With the valuable help of my friend Steve from AVS slugs. The gun is now shooting a 40g AVS slug at 980 for 85 foot pounds of energy. We hope to gather some groups for video in next week or two.
