    Joe Shneehagen accident

No circumstances. In my experience with casualties like these there is always “the rest of the story”. Operator error usually comes into play a great deal of the time.

    2024 Northeast Airgun Classic Results

Yup. Good scores. I was only looking at the finals shooting 44.75 JSB .30 for the three tournaments that he won compared to his score with 50 grain AEA .30 at the NAC. Seems he “fixed” what wasn’t broken? 😉

I agree Dan, that is the case with me. But for every gun I own, I make damn sure that the moderator is not LOWERING performance. So, while it may not improve performance, it certainly doesn't reduce accuracy or precision when done properly...

the New AEA Center Punch Pellets (All Calibers & Weights) Video

Unless JSB moved to China, I don't think they are made by JSB. But, the JTS pellets are exactly the same as AEA, so probably made in the same China factory... Nice review Nate. One thing I have found in .30 caliber, is that the AEA have significantly better BC compared to the JSB. AEA 45...

    2024 Northeast Airgun Classic Results

Very interesting, and here's why. Thayne shot JSB 44.75 last year for his three "major" wins, and no finals scores were less than 230. So, he switches to AEA 50 grainers this year and shoots a 226 in the finals (same gun) that he shot 232-7x at EBR in swirly winds at a slightly smaller target...

Yeah, they can be really loud, especially when they have that Sherman Tank diffuser that some of the HPs have that direct the sound outwards and rearwards. Also I think it’s intriguing that the vast majority of the top PRO division shooters use a moderator or at the least, a muzzle brake...

Exactly, they are either AEA made by JTS or JTS made by AEA, but they are most definitely NOT JSB or a JSB variant (FX, Rangemaster, etc.).

Daystate New to Delta Wolf - Questions

Agree, it wasn't my opinion. It was what actually happened. Another example was a couple of years back, I had my .30 FX Bobcat at about 3500 ft elevation (Descanso, CA) in the early AM. It was tuned at sea level (San Diego, CA) and 75-to-80-degree temperatures for 880 fps with JSB 44.75...

Daystate New to Delta Wolf - Questions

I’m talking about INTERNAL ballistics and how the gun actually functions, not EXTERNAL after it leaves the muzzle. And yes, without a doubt speed is affected by weather and location factors. I experienced this in December at the EFT GP event in Orlando with a borrowed .25 Delta Wolf set up in...

I see that and I see your point. The disadvantage is certainly not ballistically, but reliability. I would say that he doesn’t feel that way IMHO because he continues to shoot those when he can shoot any pellet in any caliber he wants. And without a doubt winning means the world to him. So he’s...

Yup, that sounds good. Did you shoot some at sea level, and others at 4500 feet? Did you shoot some at 45 degrees and others at 85 degrees? How about in the morning when very humid and then after it dries out in the afternoon? I'll guarantee you that your speed wouldn't remain constant in...

No, they do not split up calibers into separate groups. There is no advantage to shooting the larger calibers, since the BC on the .22 pellets is comparable to the .25 Heavy and better than the standard JSB .30 pellets. All targets are "plugged" to 0.35 caliber for fairness.

Or you could follow @cavedweller 's advice and start with the Factory Mode, which is what the gun was designed for. Not sure where this "950" came from, but the majority of .30 pellets are most accurate from 850 to 900 fps. I shoot the JSB 50.1 from mine at 870 fps using Factory Mode, and I've...
