Tension is there for preventing POI shift from bumping the barrel. It’s harder to fine tune to be as accurate as free floating barrel. It’s really for hunting and not target shooting. I have factory shroud, tuning shroud and tensioned barrel.

If you tend to shoot lower power around 12-30fpe then I say Dreamline, if you tend to shoot at higher power then the crown. I like and owned them both.
