I think pellets are the limiting factor more than barrels. My Gauntlet has a cheap Chinese barrel and it shoots 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards with Crosman dome pellets. I think you have to learn each gun and adjust to the gun and not try to make the gun adjust to you. At least that's what works...
