Other than "clean when necessary" something to keep in mind is that sometimes when you switch to a different projectile material (lead to copper, for example) you need to clean. Not sure what it is but you appear to get inconsistent friction levels when shooting copper out of a lead-fouled barrel.

Except for when I take my son to the shooting range, I only use my air gun for pesting. So it never really gets boring. If the pests are bad it can feel a bit chore-like but never boring. But the pest population has been low for years now.

That's a nice design. I suppose if you're not on flat ground you'd have to be careful setting up the tripod, so you are close to flat. But having the limited range of motion on the head is probably a good thing for most users.

I use monopods, bipods and tripods. And I rest the gun against anything else I can, like trees, if available. Bipods are about the most I'll casually pack around. Usually it's just the gun. Tripods are only for intentional big hunting trips, or range days.

I think the idea is it's better to have the wheel fail than the arm. That's likely why they make the wheel out of a relatively soft material.

Currently I have 4 airguns and 5 powderburners. But 3 of those 4 airguns are Crosman 1322's. Airguns get used far more often. Two of my powderburners have never been sighted-in!
