    FWB Found a gem.

One aperture is probably larger than the other. You can open up the smaller of the 2 with an appropriate drill bit.

What springer did you shoot today?

@crowski Try an adjustable iris eyepiece the first chance that you get to try one! It sounds like the aperture is too small for your eyes in one of your eye pieces. You can gauge them both and see if there is a difference, and open up the smaller of the two with an appropriately sized drill...

Show em - Single stroke/Pump Pneumatics, the more exotic the better!

Tom Strayhorn had that rifle on his table at the Findlay show one year. He had a large display of choice rifles from his Walther collection laid out for the public. I have secretly lusted after that very rifle for years, and you are quite the fortunate soul to be it's caretaker! A tip of...

    Anschutz Super Air 2001 repair

Disassemble the rifle down to the firing valve seal and replace it as described above. The original Anschutz seals used in these rifles are known to deform over time and will seize the firing valve in place, or cause drag on the valve that affects the velocity and operation. I suspect that...

    Somebody did a bad thing.

First sentence Used an airgun, a type of firearm......... Journalism degrees usually convey that one has an understanding of the language, correct? No minimum science requirement for a journalism degree? Do 'journalists' even require a degree anymore?

FWB Piston rings and piston buffers?

The info I spoke of earlier has apparently vanished along with the forum where it was posted...... An new OEM FWB piston ring measures .036 in thickness. FWB recommends they be changed out at a certain wear point as it wil allow the rings end gap to increase, allowing more blow by and lower...

FWB Piston rings and piston buffers?

My vote goes to the ring sealing the compression cylinder. I will have to search it out, but FWB calls out the piston ring dimension, and mandate replacement at a point. I will pop back with info bits when I can track them down.
