Yes, I killed two UTG scopes and was honest with them. They did warranty the second one, but would only give me two of their cheap scopes. I have not tried a recoil mount. My problem was solved by replacing the factory spring and guides to make a smoother shot cycle, and by buying a Hawke AirMax.

Most of my guns are wadcutter guns. My HW95 is not one of them. My experience has been pretty consistent in that consistent accuracy goes away not far above 700fps. I love Meisters in both 177 and 22.
