I agree. This is going to be the big problem in the short term. Empty shelves. I went to Dollar General today and they were almost out of soap. Things are getting bad when I can't buy a bar of Ivory.
It isn't just Daystate. The Vixen 2 just jumped up $600 over the price of the Vixen. Vixen=$1100. Vixen 2=$1750. Do you think the gun will be $600 better?
I think it has to do with England. Air Arms prices have been going through the roof also. England's politics/economy might be pricing their manufacturers right out of the game. Ghost just went up $200 in price. It is $2500 now. Pretty crazy considering they were on sale for $1800 a few months ago.
I picked up this 'rear rest' off of FleaBay for $16. Another member turned me onto the item, and I figured for the price... it was worth a shot. It seems pretty solid. Also picked up a Hamer Spring Jam Plate for my DRS from Cape Fear Airguns. P.S What is a hamer spring? How did no one catch...
I was hoping they would change the bottle so that it could be removed without losing all the air. That is the 1 thing that prevents the Vixen short, from being a 'backpack' gun. All in all, I am a fan but a $600 increase.... YIKES!!!!!!!!!
No! I misspoke in my excitement. What I should have said was... the Blackwolf is what I thought the DRS was going to be. When you put 'system' in a gun's name, it should have more options than a sight rail and a plenum. Maybe I expect too much but having to order parts from 2 different places...
I am VERY happy with my classic. The soft touch stock feels really nice. It doesn't feel like the cheap plastic you get with a Ruger or other low cost PB's.
I added the Spartan bipod adapter. It is real easy to put a screw in the synthetic stock. For a gun named The dynamic rifle SYSTEM. I would like to see More options not less. So far I am not seeing much of a System. I am starting to think the BlackWolf is everything a DRS is supposed to be.
