Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

Thanks! I fitted a Lothar Walthar barrel because the STD item was not at all accurate, and the shroud is one of the one I make, the rear rest is a print file I found online.

Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

Thanks guys! I think it definitely improves the overall look of the gun plus it's a more comfortable grip which all goes to improve the shooting experience and helps accuracy when you're comfortable with a gun.

Think I'll call that done quite like the simplicity.

Got the final black finish on it now deciding on adding something, thinking that I might have a go at airbrushing laminate markings on it and then lacquer.

Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

Just got to this stage and I have brush painted a coat of 2k primer on it, and it feels much better, just got to decide on a finish for it.

Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

Thanks but I have my own 3D printer, but now I have started on the new grip I will finish it and suspect once contoured to my hand I will be very happy with it, and on the plus side it will be unique.

Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

Made a start on the new grip, alloy base, but didn't have enough thin alloy, so the base is JB welded to the rest, next will come the contouring with epoxy filler and the idea is to mould in a covered socket for the charge port but as I want to add a thumb rest it will be difficult.

Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

I have just started on a new grip, I will keep this updated with my progress, going to start with a metal base and use epoxy filler to build up the grip, was going to leave the back bare with no rubberised part but may now include for comfort in the winter and I guess the button could also be...

Skout Has anyone made a 3D print file of a more ergonomic grip for the Epoch?

Me too! I was hoping Skout themselves may have come up with something a bit more stylish than the STD military style, I haven't actually started on mine yet in the hope that I wouldn't have to, as it's an awkward one to do from laminate, the other option is to caste/mould something around the...

Skout Why I Changed my Epoch Barrel.

I have made quite a few changes to my Epoch, but it could still be a lot better.

Skout Why I Changed my Epoch Barrel.

It's spot on really 100 times better than either of the STD barrels I have which are destined for the bin unless I can find another use for them, this was a quick test when I first fitted it in my small garden 25yds 15 shots through the same hole the lower one was the first sighter. This was...

    Skout Epoch .177 pellet loading?

    Yet mine still sticks!

    Skout Epoch .177 pellet loading?

Mine doesn't deform pellets as I checked when I removed the barrel and the pellets had no damage, but then I didn't get physical with the loading and the odd thing is it only does it with the Barracuda 8s, and they measure at exactly the same size both in length and head size, I am thinking its...

    Skout Epoch .177 pellet loading?

I have got used to the big mag, probably an impatient shooter  I have just run a test and made a very thin shim for the mag to reduce the amount of deflection when the pellet is pushed through it and this has reduced the amount of hard to load/notchy pellets and the one that did get...

    Skout Epoch .177 pellet loading?

I see your point I was also wondering if the big transfer port was the cause but as the mag can't be removed when this happens I am thinking it may be down the mag itself rather than the TP because of this as I would have expected the pellet to be a bit further in if it was, but It's just...

    Skout Epoch .177 pellet loading?

Anyone had problems with certain pellets being hard to load? I mainly use Barracuda 8s and JSB Heavies and until recently I have had no problems with either but all of a sudden the 8s are very notchy and hard to load, the only thing that I have done different is to change the pellet probe O...

N/A Daystate, Airgun Technology or FX.

Something I have noticed being on both UK and US forums is that there are a lot of reports of problems with sub 12 FX rifles in fact they have a rather bad reputation especially the barrel liners, now as your not power restricted in the US and tend to shoot larger calibres I suspect that the...

    Skout Epoch O ring sizes?

Just to update I got the O rings through today, and they appear to be correct, so I will be fitting them to try but can't envisage any problems, good job I checked myself before taking the metric dimension that Keith gave me, they are just as good a fit in the breech as the originals.

    Skout Epoch O ring sizes?

For those that want to know, I had a reply from Keith stating the size #4-70 o ring 2.8mm x 1.8mm is the closest metric. However, I went looking for the equivalent metric as thats more easily available in the UK and got 004 = 1.78 x 1.78 x 5.34 so going to order these and see.
