Not an unheard of phenomenon, reason why many use a next higher caliber moderator than airgun. Never a problem with moderators that came from factory for my AGT and FX airguns, can't say same for aftermarket ones. WM

Agreed, testing ZAN's .30 Slug Assortment box, during a single shooting session, taught me that. Working through weight variations from 45.5 to 68 grains, realized initial slugs were going to be off, chalked it up to barrel "conditioning," as noted. WM

Marauder platform has been out a dozen years, or so, and was a very popular starter PCP. While still cherished by some aficionados, the popularity of the bolt-action, dovetail scope mount and long/heavy PCP design is fading. Lots of mods are available but monies spent are rarely recouped. WM

Began PCP journey with .25, now a .30 guy. Appreciate the extra power .30 brings to hunting/pesting. Mainly 50 yard, and under, action .30 just ends things faster. WM

Don't know the Barra, but, in general, slightly loosening a pressure gauge until air just starts hissing out, then leaving it to slowly vent, is how most vent pressure, absent a release valve. Gun may still have stored pressure even if gauge says zero so firing a few times should clear that. WM

Thanks for posting this thread, clearly shows machining problems exist with some bottle collars. OP should be able to research if he shares similar problem. WM

Also, brass fitting (pictured with valve) has two "O" rings, one crumbled to pieces on removal, other was OK. Substandard Chinese "O" rings, uncovered during testing, were supposed to be replaced, think they missed one. MAX comes with spare "O" rings for fitting, make sure to replace. WM

Same thing happened to my MAX, here's pic of broken valve. Suspect sharp end of spring digs into plastic valve (design flaw) causing poppet spring to self-tighten till valve breaks. JTS sent new valve, followed 45Bravo's video to replace, but, unaware of design flaw, set to original depth...

Late model U2s and all U3s come with factory depinger. WM

Non-petroleum based lubricants, like heavyweight silicone oil, used for treadmill exercise machines, and plumber's silicone grease are non-degrading of "O" rings. Metal-to-metal lubrication is not recommended for silicone. WM

Google search turned up a 2016 GTA thread regarding this brand, got the feeling it may have been uncommon at that time. WM
