    Gamo vs Cometai

I agree with you entirely. I have asked Cometa the question..., but no reply as yet. If I was happy with 25 yard shooting this wouldn’t be an issue but long range is my thing. I like a gun that shoots fairly flat and penetrates at 50-100 yards. At 50 yards plus the Cometa only really drops a...

    Gamo vs Cometai

It’s important to point out that I have no links with Gamo whatsoever. When I moved to Portugal I had to leave my 3 BSA’s in England.... too much red tape moving around Europe even with low powered air rifles. When I got here I was surprised to find the laws are a lot more relaxed and you’re...

    Gamo vs Cometai

Yes, that is exactly the Gamo I have but in .22......and without doubt it is a true 24 Joule gun as described.

    Gamo vs Cometai

You make some excellent points... the quality and finish of the Cometa are sublime. I’ve never seen a stock like it on a €250.00 gun... it’s like something you get on a decent shotgun.. great figuring. It is a joy to use with virtually no recoil and very very quiet. The gun looks and feels like...

    Gamo vs Cometai

The Gamo doesn’t scream quality... the SAT trigger unit for example seems cheap however it’s still going strong after 5000 shots. The beech stock is basic and the chequering is pretty poor on one section. But at only 6 1/2 lbs with precision truglo open sights the shooting experience is close to...

Diana RWS 34 Springer or Hatsan 95 Vortex QE?

When it comes to guns I have a real problem with anything made in China... Chinese involvement in Diana rings alarm bells... cost cutting, inferior materials particularly the steel? Any Chinese tools I have purchased have either quickly corroded or burred off and lost their edge.

    Gamo vs Cometai

You are so right... the Gamo barrel is perfect, deadly accurate...right out to 60 metres with open sights.... like shooting with a .22lr... the muzzle blast is similar too which I just love. The build quality of the Cometa is way out there in a class of its own, every bit as good if not better...

    Gamo vs Cometai

I live in Portugal. Luckily we’re permitted to own 24 Joule/18 ft/lb rifles without a permit. I bought a Gamo Hunter 440 IGT and a Cometa Fenix 400 GP Compact. Both are supposed to deliver 24 joules but honestly the Gamo whilst not in the same league as far as quality is concerned just smashes...
