bustachip, I am pretty new to the HW30, got mine last week and posted. Shot it on Friday with dead wind, I could hit a crumpled pop can with relative ease at 38 paces. Without the recoil it seems to shoot as well as my HW95! 585 fps with 177 super domes.

Modski66 I had one of these several years ago. It was accurate, fairly quiet and was enjoyable to shoot. Hopefully you get it working properly. The casting was top notch.
