Was a heart shot and lodged in opposite shoulder at 43 yards! He only went about 40 yards before dropping over. This one was at 72 yards and ran about 50 before pilling up! Dug the slug out of the hide on the opposite side! Second deer shot with NSA 291 grain big hollow point. The 280s are doing...
Ready to hunt in like new condition and has been an awesome rifle! Reg set on 125 bar and shooting 34 grain Varmint knocker slugs at 980fps with insane accuracy. Purchased from High Pressure Pneumatics last November and hasn't missed a beat. Would like to sell as a package deal. Including an...
My vote is for the domes! Squirrels are tough critters and penetration is a must. Polymags are ok at close range but in my experience lose their accuracy after about 40 yards. If you want a little more punch try some FX 34 grainers. They fly really well anywhere from 880 to 920fps.
It's had the spring and seal replaced a couple years ago and is doing 720fps with 15.89 JSBs! Right around 18.5 fpe. It's as docile as a R9 at 14 fpe. With the right spring it's capable of 20+ though.
They shot ok in my 600mm slug liner but I think they're geared more towards the pellet liner. Good uniform design and very clean slugs! My King loves Varmint knockers in 34 grain so i never took the time to really tune for the AEA.
A tank is good idea for back up but honestly you're gonna want a compressor to fill that big bore! The GX-E-CS4 is a great option and has been working great for me.
Be patient! Tom has some of the best customer service in the business. Must be something very important for him not to respond. Hopefully all is well with his family and employees!
