How did you come up with 400 psi differential? I'm seeing that at 3000 ft, standard pressure is approximately 13.2 psi (ignoring temps), while at 12,000 feet it's about 10.9 psi, for a differential of 2.3 psi.

Yeah, that E-5K2 is a beast. It's HEAVY, but it's on wheels, sitting on my garage floor. My CS4/4-i will take my 9 liter SCBA tank from 3000-4500 psi in about an hour. I can do that same fill using the E-5K2 in about 18-20 minutes.

250 is 250, period (ignoring individual gague inaccuracies, of course). Whether your gauge max is 250, 300, or even 1,000... if you fill to 250, you're GTG.

All compressors can fill SCUBA tanks, and some can fill SCBA tanks. How long does it TAKE is the question to ask.

I can assure you that's NOT the case. When I first got my compressor, I opened the crankcase, and all moving parts were well-covered in grease. No squeaks coming from the metal components!

At 3000 psi, a 12L aluminum SCUBA tank holds about 86.5 cu ft of air. At 4500 psi, a 12 L SCBA tank will hold 129.7 cuft.

Considering that a CS3 or CS4 will fill the 9L/97 cu ft tank, this compressor will do it also, only faster. It will be similiar to filling the tank with two CS4s simultaneously.
