For you hand pumpers, how often do you change the moisture filter?

You are probably fine, but it’s good to ask others. I just like to check things in stages before I get to the “oh crap” time.

For you hand pumpers, how often do you change the moisture filter?

It really depends on the air quality/humidity in your area. You could check them in a sequence, say after one fill, then check after two or three fills, and so on until you see what you feel is enough dirt or moisture to warrant a cleaning or changeout of the filter media. That probably would...

    NOE Bullet Molds, Al's Retiring

I wonder if it has something to do with the mail in your area. My last mold was ordered on 8/11 and came on 8/22. I've ordered 4 molds since 7/15 and they've all come in about the same amount of time. Yeah, I really like Al's molds and though I'll miss drooling through his website, I too hope...

    Other Pcp shotguns

On muzzleloader forums, many posters talk about using a tunafish can (approximately a turkeys head size) to answer the question at a specific distance....will enough pellets hit the can diameter and penetrate it....kind of a real world type of test. If I remember right, they talked about 4 - 5...

Is that gal on the left Arya Stark from Game of Thrones?? :)

What did you do airgun related today.

I haven’t shot them yet. I just got the mold last week and finally tried it out yesterday. I’m hoping they shoot well out of my standard Challenger 24”. After I did my preliminary sort, I ended up with 240 of them for an hours work. I’ll get them washed and lubed today. I’m thinking of...

    AEA No more challenger standard????

I have an Element Max .510 and it is a powerhouse for its size for sure….easily reaches 500+ fpe with 310 or 340gr slugs. I just picked up a used Extreme Big Bore .357 too. The Challenger is still a great gun though.

    Other Light Weight Slugs

Thanks. I’ve been playing around with that calculator for a while. It’s pretty useful, but I don’t think it’s perfect, the same as most things. Coming from shooting traditional muzzleloaders, I’ve seen firsthand that all guns and barrels have their own “best friends” as far as...

    Other Light Weight Slugs

I won’t be changing out the barrel any time soon. I was just wanting to try some lighter slugs than what I see being used in these guns. I realize they are built for max power and that’s what I’ll be shooting it for, if I do draw another Coues deer tag in Arizona! Thanks for the perspective...

    Other Light Weight Slugs

That's what I was thinking I remembered....at least something along those lines. Thanks for the info. I'm getting ready to take a new-to-me Extreme Big Bore .357 out to sight in and will be using some slugs in the 150 - 177 gr range. I also may pick up some different Century springs (hammer...

What did you order / receive airgun related today? Thread

Got a couple of NOE molds….i just can’t hold back with 40% off sales! I’m disappointed he’s closing up shop, but I’m hoping he loves retirement as much as I do.

    Other Light Weight Slugs

Other than potential accuracy issues, are there any problems shooting very light slugs in a big bore? I thought I had seen someone discuss valve damage that may occur if slugs were too light. I could easily be mistaken due to OGM (old guy memory)….😀
