    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

More 177 Hw50 love today. I shot the bottom three rows of targets this afternoon with a bit of a right to left breeze. Groups were ok with occasional flyer. The wind petered out towards the end of the third row on the page. You can see the groups tighten up and shift on center. Here's the gun...

    HW/Weihrauch HW50S - Out of Box

Holy cow! Somebody listened to me. 😉 You'll love it. Just keep your eye centered in the scope to minimize any parallax error. That's an awesome all around outfit.

    HW/Weihrauch HW50S - Out of Box

Its fairly common. Many weihrauchs have that. My First Hw30 came with that and discoloration at that band. My ocd blew a fuse. Until I saw it on other guns. Some have it some don't. My 1992 r1 has it. It's nothing new or of concern.

    HW/Weihrauch Again

True and true. After a while you learn what's, what with one brand. The ones I use the most, I know the best.

    HW/Weihrauch Again

That's not an easy task. With 12 Weihrauch rifles and I'm constantly having to tinker with something to keep them up and running right. At least the ones I shot a lot

    HW/Weihrauch Again

I love you Dave. You buy not one but two ridiculously expensive limited edition guns to save a few bucks on shipping. :D

    HW/Weihrauch Williams sights - FP-GR fit issue

I obviously have a preference. but its out of experience and a love of simple, durable, functional deigns. Fiddly delicate stuff has no place in my life when there's more elegant solutions.

    HW/Weihrauch Williams sights - FP-GR fit issue

the tool is only helpful for the elevation. The windage can be adjusted from the left side with a dime or most slotted screwdrivers. The tool is cheap and easy to keep handy. Once sighted in for a favorite pellet the sights hardly ever need adjusting. Which is another reason I find the TK...

    HW/Weihrauch Williams sights - FP-GR fit issue

If your gonna get a Williams the FP-AG or the FP-AG-TK ( Target knobs). I've had both I prefer the FP-AG. the target knobs seem like a novel idea until you find you need a small screwdriver to unlock them. Plus the target knobs stick out a bit much for practical use. Plus the Williams mount is...

    HW/Weihrauch Williams sights - FP-GR fit issue

Most of the people here are in US and Canada. So I'm addressing them. Are the Williams any more available to you?

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

There's a very nice 22 cal Hw50 on FeeBay for $350. That's what they go for and the shipping is reasonable. I have no affiliation with the gun or owner. I'm only posting this as a PSA. FWIW its a good era gun. I paid the same just this week for the same gun in 177. For someone wanting a HW50 in...

    HW/Weihrauch .25 springer

Get the factory part. It should last long enough to be cost effective and you'll know it's the right one for the gun. Aftermarket breech seals on the smaller caliber Weihrauchs cause all sorts of lock up issues. Culminating in anything from vertical stringing to crazy barrel droop. Splurge and...

    N/A peep sight on a hw50s

Yup exactly. Peak compression temperature is high enough to ignite petroleum based greases. The temp spike doesn't last but milliseconds. Heat is generally dispersed through the compression tube. Thermal expansion becomes a real issue when comp tube can't absorb and radiate all the heat. On...

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

I like the styling on it.. I'm not a wood nut. While I appreciate figure, I appreciate functional design more. Your talking to a guy that prefers good synthetic stocks for hunting. If you if want to get rid of that maccarri stock when you make something nicer let me know. Be well Ron

    N/A peep sight on a hw50s

I agree guns for hunting you need predictable cold shots. Unfortunately most springers aren't good at that. When you find one that is you treasure it. There's certain things that can be done to to minimize that. It's a long list. Sometimes it works sometimes it don't. It has alot to do with...
