A $300 PCP is going to be over your budget by the time you get a scope and compressor and filter setup. A quality springer maybe a better choice but they can run into big bucks also. Not to mention you have to have a springer rated scope. Like as been said, airguns are not cheap. My best advice...

Altaros booster works great if you have a shop compressor to run it. I read on here that they are going to, or already have, stopped production on them though.
