Benjamin New guy here! Just ordered my first "grown-up" air rifle

While I was infatuated and briefly considered spending the dough on an FX Impact M3 / M4 as my first air rifle..... I'm SO glad I didn't. I've learned a LOT perusing the AN forum about the FX Impact rifles. I made the right choice for me (Marauder F&T), especially as an air gun novice...

    Crossman 760, so disappointing.

I’m sorry for the disappointment but I did enjoy your post. I too had a Crosman 760 as my very first air rifle. I received it as a Christmas gift in 1979. I shot that rifle as often as I could and there is no telling how many unfortunate birds fell to that pump gun. I still have it in my safe...

    Hatsan Help 6" groups

Find out why is my suggestion. Turn down the power more and make sure your gun is level every time is my first try. I've found that lots of air movement when exiting the barrel tends to make wobbly open groups more often than the gun itself. This isn't a rule, but it's free so I try it...

This is why I do this!

Last night is why I got into air rifles! I spent the afternoon shooting with my youngest son and after I’d got dark we went hunting! He missed a shot on a rabbit, but learned some valuable lessons. But the best part was just sitting outside in nature spending time together. We even spotted a...

Have you found that “ One Airgun”?

When I first see the Karma I liked it very much. I was wondering which LDC did you use.

    Springer vs. PCP

...(I own 2 of them) is the HW30S. My son and daughter learned to shoot with these rifles at the age of 6 and 7. This was actually my first air rifle I bought back in the early 80's. They are fun - for parent and kid - and (again) will last you a lifetime. You can't say that for the el-cheapo...

    Taipan My first Taipan Purchase

Been away from the airgun scene for awhile and just got back into it again, so many rifles to choose from these days, had a lot of air rifles over the years, owned pretty much all of the top tier brands but I always got rid of them for some reason or another and seemed to only keep the bullet...

What did you do airgun related today.

I had a grand time with an Air Chrony mk3 that came in today. Checked 6 air pistols and one of the rifles and learned first hand the difference between the velocity's of each and then each one with different weight pellets. This for me was lots of fun as I miss the days of designing rounds and...

    Hello

I am in California. As far as I know, there aren't any restrictions on using springer airguns. They sell them at Big 5 and Sportsman Warehouse so I figured it's fine. I've never shot a springer. I just like the idea of using a simple rifle.

What springer did you shoot today?

My HW97K in .20 cal . Such a fun air rifle, super accurate well built and I'm one of my first ones :•) I pick up to shoot in the backyard.

    Your favorite single shot fired

As far as air rifle, the first time I tried cutting a card. Hit it the first shot. I was only 5 yards or so but that’s where I had to be to see the edge with the diopter sights

    Air Arms Pro Sport Question

A ProSport may be considered by many to be the Cadillac of spring piston airguns; but it's still a spring piston airgun, with all of the positive and negative attributes common to all spring piston air rifles. Shoot it. Put 1,000 - 1,500 pellets through it and see if it settles down about...

    Hatsan Help 6" groups

Hi Guys This is my first post. I need some help. I bought a Hatsan Flash-R QE .25. Back in September. I've tried every kind of pellet (brand, weight, style etc) the best i can get is 6" groups at 40 yds. That is not acceptable. I need at least 1" groups. I have a good scope Hawkeye 4x12...

Airforce Is Airforce Talon .177 (no P, no SS) backyard friendly if I tune it down to 700-750 fps ?

I want to buy my first PCP but most rifles around 500-600$ that shoot .177 are way too big. And only talon that look good, compact, no air leakage review. Only problem that the noise is level 5. Im broke so cant spend 100$ for talonSS and another few hundred buck for a silencer. TY!

Airgun shooting for people with PTSD

Hi BriannaHuffx. What air rifle are you using? How far are your targets? I'm just curious since this is your first post here on AGN. You could just start your own thread under "General Discussion" and call it "Another New Member -- Howdy" or whatever you want to call it and put a first post...
