A regulator doesn't close when the tube/bottle pressure falls below the reg set pressure...so tube press=plenum press in that case Maybe the former owner turned the set pressure all the way up to the 200 bar ? Thinking to actieve max power by doing that? (A lot of People seem to have not a clue...

here we go again your regulator pressure is way high for that hammer , lower the press. or buy a heavier hammer+spring ( if you want to waste money) the hammer has not enough weight and power to open the valve enough this keeps coming over and over again , i don't understand it at all sorry...

It won't make a difference in used air from the tube , only used air volume of the plenum. It's physics.

common mistake your hammer+spring can not generate enough power to open or keep the valve open long enough with that high plenum pressure.....less air will get behind the pellet....lower speed
