My .30cal Karma Red Panda 2 observations

If you have a .30 cal Karma Red Panda, here are 2 things you should know. First of all, I am not a pro shooter, just a guy with an airgun. So this is just my observations. I think my RP is the best PCP I own and I have 4 other airguns in my stable. I must have shot over 900 rounds of 10...

Western Airguns Western Airguns Mordax Venom

I know there's a power adjustment too, but I don't fundamentally understand how that thing works on a gun with this style of action as compared to what I'm used to. Normally my preferred silent tune is a hefty reg pressure and a tiny tap from the hammer to let out a blip of 150. If you leave the...

FX FX Impact heavy hammer, light spring

Just want to discuss the effect of heavier hammer and lighter hammer spring in Impact. It has free floating hammer, hence no double bounce causing wastage of air. In order to control the dewel of valve, we can install heavy valve return spring and can also adjust the valve travel. I...

    Nicely done Sir!

Daystate Alpha Wolf won’t shoot after cleaning.

Ok. The gauge is round all the way around so no flat side to get cresint around. Any thoughts on disassembling down to the valve and then tapping the back of the valve like the hammer would? Might need a tap with a hammer though

Snowpeak Snowpeak M60B .25cal First Shots

You are welcome. I found out that the hammer spring and adjustment screw had to be back all the way out. If you take the butt pad all the way off you and adjust the hammer screw out more you will see the 60b gain more fps. Seen / heard in your video how it sounds. Also seen in the video that...

    Umarex Another Notos question?

Problem for me is, I've shot competition for 62 yrs and have shot hundreds of thousands of rounds. I don't hear so well anymore...lol!!

FX FX MK4, .25 Cal. A little disappointed?

Another thing does your rifle have a pin probe or pellet probe! The pin probe allows more airflow than the pellet probe. If you buy a slug liner get the slug kit. It will have the heavy hammer and hammer spring along with the adjustable pin probe.

Taipan Taipan Slash first tuning report.

Just an FYI. No special tools are required to adjust or service the regulator. Marek shows using a toothless, smooth channel lock because it's one of many examples of how not to mar the piston while removing. I have removed, adjusted and checked, lubed every millimeter of this regulator (as I...

FX I finally got into fx airguns

Hammer spring, hammer and poppet spring can change poppet dwell. Ive been thinking of a way to measure the volume of air through the poppet. The problem is that dry firing an FX can damage the gun where the hammer strikes the poppet. That was true on the older FX SmoothTwist (Boss, Royale and...

    Up or down.

Spring disc regulators are adjustable NOT variable and once set should be left alone. They may be adjusted to increase output pressure with the rifle at operating pressure because you are decreasing the force acting on the inlet pressure valve seat during the adjustment. With the rifle at...

    Beeman Beeman Commodore 13655

I'm uncertain of the regulators exact setting but I'm assuming by performance, it's between 1500 - 1600psi. So would you recommend attempting to modify the hammer spring and make an adjustment to the regulator or simply return it to the seller and have them replace it? I've had this gun about...

Hatsan Hatsan Blitz 777 (Refined Semi/Full Auto Beast) w/ 180 shots per fill (Video Review)

This is for the original blitz. Good maintenance video. It covers the full auto gears and lubrication. I would guess most of the 777 is very similar to the original There are other videos that cover hammer spring adjustment. Parts diagrams are on HatsanUSA website

I thought I read or watched somewhere there was no spring pre load adjustment on those. It was hammer throw or something like that.

    AirMaks Arms Katran velocity unstable?

Yes. So if the hammer is set too low for the given pressure. Its not applying enough force against the valve stem. Giving you poor shot to shot consistency. Typically on low hammer. You'll start low and crawl high, with intermittent wild numbers here and there. Depending where the plenum is...

FX cant get velocity from FX Crown

I went through a similar rodeo in the last couple of months. It sounds to me like your reg is high and the hammer does not have enough energy to open the vale fully. Increasing reg pressure has to be paired with increased hammer energy. The Crown's method of increasing hammer spring tension is...

Where is that air coming from?

...that was in front is displaced around the hammer or if the hammer is vented through it, it is net, net. The amount of air residing in that space is unchanged. With a completely discharged rifle, dry firing it, I do feel a tiny, tiny, puff of air through the hammer adjustment hole, not very much.

    Beeman Beeman underlever 1358 mods

Has anyone seen or know where to down load a exploded diagram for the 1358? I would like to change out the hammer spring but I am a little leery of just unscrewing the power adjustment bolt not knowing what else is behind the screw.
