Sheridan Trigger sear-engagement adjuster for Sheridan

I recall discussing something like that with Tim a long while back. (Yeah, he's not real good at holding back his feelings.) He thought that it was something I shouldn't bother with. The steel that those triggers are made with is heat-treated high carbon, so they're pretty hard, but they can...

Thanks. I've found that not all people can hear and discern engine noises. It's near new so I'm hoping it isn't a spark-knock. If it is, hopefully it burns the piston while still under warranty. I haven't needed to pull the plug yet. Perhaps I should.

    Hey Chronograph manufacturers

I don't know about the others, but the Caldwell says accurate to .25% on the box. I can't imagine that temp or pressure can have much effect on the instrument itself, but they sure can on the rifle/pistol. As Avator said, consistency is most important. Cheers, J~

Pumpers the Toyota Corolla of air guns

Good thread. My Sheridan identifies as a fifth generation Toyota Hi-Lux (pickup truck) with a 22r engine. I've had a Corolla and a Tercel. (Did you know that you can put a new clutch in a Tercel without pulling the engine?) Cheers, J~

    Gamo Lead shavings

It looks like an alignment issue. I'd look at the magazine each time I cocked it to make sure that the pellets are aligned with the bore. There's probably one hole that doesn't quite line up. Are one in six or so shots not as accurate? Cheers, J~

Sheridan C series in brass finish

The rear sight is held on by the tension applied to the wedges lodged between the tube and barrel. You can pull the scope mount off and then drive it to the rear. That will push it backward off of the wedges. I put electrical tape on the barrel to prevent scratches and use gentle taps with a...

Sheridan Sheridans FPS V # of Pumps V caliber V pellet weight or choice

Yeah, that confused me as well. (I had to look them up.) He meant Benjamin-Sheridans. I don't consider them to be Sheridans because they're a mash up of Sheridan and Benjamin designs. Cheers, J~

Sheridan Sheridans FPS V # of Pumps V caliber V pellet weight or choice

Three or four pumps is plenty for plinking. Here's what I've compiled with what I have. This gun is a little bit tired. I'm not aware of any that aren't 20 caliber. Cheers, J~

We've come a long way from the time in which we would mount a red-lensed mini-maglite on our rifles and then wait for the rats to come by. Citrus groves have lots of rats. Big ones.
