During the last sale, they only had a few .177, and none of them were discounted much in comparison to the near closeout price on the .22 and .25 models. (IE: $990 .22s and $1100 .177s) Edgunwest has been OOS on most .177 models for 2 months. Talontunes seems to only sell the long/HP versions...

Would love to know that myself. I did email Chris @ CDR in the UK (he does a lot of the vendor management), and he definitely seemed like they wanted to expand their footprint here in the US but our conversation trailed off after like 2 emails, so not sure what's going on there. And still...

Laura and I may be a little far away for a weeknight thing, but a Saturday when there's no competing ft events is workable. But appreciate you and DCFSA looking to expand airguns events!

@AGN225 Thoughts about doing an every-other-month or so Saturday session for the 10m/Risk/Silhouette match? I think we'd like to stick around and shoot more, but it's tough after a 3 hour Field Target match.

Sounds like the risk/reward game needs a silhouette target bank set up for pistol @ 10m. I think we would give that game a try if it caught on.

Looking for a katran in .177, bottle or tube, standard or compact, huma regulated. Pm with pic and price.

I'm not him, but it seems like he clearly qualified that recommendation with "if you are only getting 1 gun and need it to do field target AND hunting".

I think cavedweller proposed categories for PCP and springer and then further into sub12 and up to 20. Can't wait to see how it all goes out. The .3 at 20 should be .75 at 50, which is similar to bramezy's marauder that's half the cost of the hft500.

I think you're taking my thinking backwards. I agree its not even close. There are just much harder (mathematically) distances to shoot at.

That is a 2 inch group at 55 (3.47) that will all fit in a 2" kz from the aafta handbook for kz size and yards . That would hit theoretically (no outside factors) 100% of the time and thus be 'ok' if we're only looking at 55 yards, but is essentially a crap shoot at like 75% of other possible...

@cavedweller - do you think we'd get more participation (AND more non-FT rifle representation) presenting this challenge to a wider audience?

I guess a good question for the thread is where exactly the arms race is in regards to score. Is it in the 50+ trying to get the win? Is it in the mid pack looking to get to the 50? Or is it in the lower level trying to be relevant? Fwiw my wife is a 38-40 shooter...with a $200 scope that...
