    Huben Huben gk1 degassing advise

I don’t have a Huma reg on my GK1 but I cant see how it would delete the brass screw for the indexing. You are confusing it with the silver screw on the bottom of the air tube. This is the screw I’m referring to:

    Huben Huben gk1 degassing advise

There’s another option: Underneath the mag loader is a brass screw. Turn it counter clockwise slowly until it starts to release air. Only downside is you may damage the o-ring and have to replace it. IMO I’d rather do this than shooting the valve out the back or touch the degas screw on top of...

Huben K1 - Is there a way to repair or re-calibrate the tank gauge? [Solved]

I asked Kelly(Krazcool) the same question back when I had to service my K1. You guessed right, wrap something around it to catch the springs and ball bearings then just yank it off. *it’s easier to pull it off if you put the fill plug back on the tube.

Taipan Taipan Slash first tuning report.

For seasoned veterans, such as yourself, it is simple to think of the many ways something can be taken apart on an air rifle. I was responding to a claim that the Slash was easier to work on for the average Joe compared to the K1. The average Joe doesn’t have the knowledge of working on airguns...

Taipan Taipan Slash first tuning report.

With all due respect, do you get irritated that a diesel truck malfunctions when filled with gasoline? It’s the same with the k1, you know what ammo doesn’t cause issues so use that. My gripe with Huben is that they don’t include a list of compatible pellets that will not jam your mag. It can...

    Daystate Daystate Harrier SE. Regulated?

It is true that these early unregulated rifles could shoot a flat string. However, that shot string was between a limited pressure range. The Lane reg has a built in plenum spacer, an included drill bit to make the breather hole, and an install guide. It’s an easy task imo. YMMV While you...

    Daystate Daystate Harrier SE. Regulated?

Beautiful rifle! Never seen one with the stainless air tube and barrel. A quick google search revealed a few regulators. I’d go with the Lane reg.

Taipan Taipan Slash first tuning report.

The Slash requires a specialized tool to service the regulator and smooth jaw pliers to remove the valve stem. Good thing they include the special reg tool whereas for the k1 you have to buy it. That valve o-ring is rarely the source of a leak on the k-1. Never had to replace mine in 5 years...

Taipan Taipan Slash first tuning report.

This must be a joke. In order to service the valve on the slash you must remove 13 screws, rear bottom plate, air tank, trigger plate cover, and the magazine latch. To service the valve on the k1 only requires the removal of 2 screws, rear cover plate, and a spring. The valve is removed...

Huben Manometer Variance Between Huben K1 and GK1

Never experienced that. I wonder why Huben uses that slip fit pressure gauge instead of the standard gauges in the industry. It would be nice to have the option to use a WIKA or other gauges.

Seneca/Sam Yang Sumatra 2500 leak, Disassembly

I remember the manual did state that. However I never had an issue adjusting the power wheel when not cocked. I also seldomly adjusted it especially after getting a full tune from the master Korean airgunsmith, Will Piatt. It’s funny when some tuner down played Will’s work and claimed their tune...

Seneca/Sam Yang Sumatra 2500 leak, Disassembly

Power wheel should spin freely no matter what pressure is in the rifle. Interesting facts about the Sumatra: The power wheel on the Sumatra is adjusting the amount of valve stem that protrudes from the valve. Hammer spring tension is not adjustable.

Huben Any issues or problems with Huben gk1 please share your experience

Ask Kelly if he has any of the bronze springs. They’re made of phosphor bronze which has a better fatigue resistance than most types of steel. You may also want to try the bronze closing valve spring. It is a small diameter spring and much easier to compress than the steel spring. ***To be...

Seneca/Sam Yang Sumatra 2500 leak, Disassembly

Sounds like your power wheel is set way too low. If you have already tried to increase power via the power wheel and it had no effect, it’s possible the power wheel is broken. Remove the forestock and inspect the power wheel. As a last resort, you can remove the rear stock so you can take out...

    Airforce Condor SS, Ongoing Project

I admire your ability to make a fugly yet cool AF rifle. That thing could probably shoot 50 high power shots and still have air left over. Bonus: you don’t need to tether to big tanks like the other AF guys.
