I have yet to shoot a rat with my wadcutters but I'm anxious to get started on it. I've been using the 25.39s previously. Surprisingly, even though they're around 45 ft lb they don't go all the way through. I'm curious to see what the wadcutters do at 35 ft lb.

Interesting note about wadcutter speeds. What range do they typically prefer? Asking because I have a few tins of JTS 18.8 .22 wadcutters and they're doing well around 920-930 fps. Granted, this is only at 20 yards in my back yard. The BC makes them painful at 50.

I consider the Garmin and Athlon hardware to be almost the same. Check out their apps and see which you prefer. The price difference is a thing, too.

https://amzn.to/4gkpNic I have one of these. The leather is pretty thick and stiff, maybe it could be broken in for easier access. The pellets on top would be easy to grab but it would get harder the deeper down you go. It was cheap, at least, and good enough for my needs. YMMV

It's actually extremely easy to check or change out the hammer spring. There are some amazing videos on YouTube regarding maintenance for this rifle.

I would say it's almost definitely the blue spring in there, but that math still doesn't add up for me. Weird! Someday I will test the same tune and see if I can duplicate it.

I haven't paid much attention to the charging time, but I think the unit might need to be powered on to charge. It turns on automatically when the charger is connected. I tried turning it off while charging once and I don't think it charged. Seems weird to me, but that's what I observed.

At least with the Blackwolf, the cylinder is heavier than the bottle. Assuming weight is your concern.
