    Still shooting JSBs???

I've tried many many different slugs in my one slug rifle (U2 .25), including many diameters and weights and I still have yet to kind a slug that groups as well as the AVS 44gr .2513". Just last week I finally broke-down and bought some Altaros Smooth 49.5 grain that everyone brags about and...

    Still shooting JSBs???

I have purchased, and fired several thousand AEA 18.3 .22 in both 250 & 500 count tins. I can honestly say that I have not found any difference in accuracy between any 'batches' of those pellets. Also, I have not seen the need to clean the bore often with these AEAs that others have...

    Inexpensive target scope

Jim, I use a similar scope to your Sentenil 8-32. Mine is the Mueller 8-32x44. I imagine it's very similar in all regards to what you described your Vector to be. I have it mounted to my dedicated 'bench' rifle and it works plenty well enough for my informal 50yd shooting. Since I am not...

    Daystar Hunts!

Agree. For the pellet weights that most people like to shoot many of the Turkish long rifles are over-sprung. With the spring the rifles come with they get good velocity with the heavier 22gr pellets for a 'cliff' tune. However there isn't enough spring, and air volume to achieve a 'bell...

    Daystar Hunts!

I can't answer your question as I never fired the rifle straight out of the box. I have a Reximex Lyra which has the same barrel, air cylinder, trigger group and internals in the action/block as does the Daystar. The Daystar has more material machined off areas of the external action/block...

    Daystar Hunts!

Since I've had the rifle less than a week I am not confident in reporting what the rifle averages at 50yds. The shooting I did on target at 50yds was just to check my ballistic/drop data against 'real' drops on target. Also checking the tracking accuracy for my dial-ups on the optic. The...

    Still shooting JSBs???

For clarity on this thread, AA & FX are JSB pellets. Many speculate that the AAs & FXs might be from different dies at JSB, but I've never seen any proof of that.

    Still shooting JSBs???

This is a sincere post, not intending to start a fight. Do any of you with 30fpe or higher energy rifles still finding JSBs to give your rifle(s) the tightest and most consistent groups? Myself..., I only have a few PCP rifles and all of them are now off the JSB diet and onto either AEA or JTS.

    Daystar Hunts!

Yes, I agree. I sacrifice overall shot count for tuning at the top part of the 'bell curve'. My starting fill pressure is only 195Bar. The key to getting an adequate amount of flat shots with a non-regulated rifle is to have a large volume air reservoir.

    Why kill crows?

Ditto what your wrote for Starlings also! I refer to Starlings as, 'Vikings of the bird world' for the savage attacks on native bird nest!

    Daystar Hunts!

I chose the polymer stock over the more pleasing, walnut or laminate to save weight. The Polymer is nearly 1lb lighter than the wood versions. As the rifle is shown in the pic above it weighs 8lbs-14oz. It's not light weight, but certainly lighter than the majority of today's air rifles. For...

    Daystar Hunts!

I purchased a Reximex Daystar .22 during the recent labor Day sale. The rifle arrived this past Monday and I went to work disassembling, checking parts and making some minor modifications. The most significant being polishing the bore, modifying the trigger to a crisp single stage and...

Do any of you own or shot any of the Reximex PCPs?

I now have a second Reximex rifle. Bought during the Labor Day sale. It's the Daystar in .22 caliber. I received the rifle on Monday. I spent a 10-hr day on Tuesday disassembling and checking the rifle for proper assembly/manufacturing, cut o-rings etc. I cut the hammer spring to get AEA...

Airgun Technologies Is AGT good about support for discontinued models

I've contacted AGT twice regarding my U2. Both times they promptly replied to my emails and even sent me a part at their expense. I would just contact them and ask about parts for the original Uragan.

Other Beginning to Grasp the term

In nearly 35yrs of shooting a PCP I hadn't fallen victim to the 'rabbit' hole' syndrome. If something works for me, I stick with it for a long time. Thus..., I still hunt with my first PCP (Falcon FN19 .22) more often than I use any of the few others I have obtained in recent years. The...

N/A Got an accurate gun? 100 yard 5x5 challenge

With me as the shooter and tuner, I don't have an air rifle that will compete. I'll be impressed to see a rifle/shooter that can meet this challenge.
