    JSB Grands and Lights?

That jives with my findings. Thanks.

    JSB Grands and Lights?

Do you stretch em out much? I found them to be quite accurate, even at long range.

    JSB Grands and Lights?

Has anyone other than me shot these two? And how did they do for you? JSB .22/28.55 Grands JSB .22/20.83 "Lights" I'm surprised by the dearth of info on these.

Really poor timing to be talking about shooting people, in jest or otherwise......

Accuracy out of Mountain Air LW Marauder Barrels

Not a direct answer to your question about Mountain Air specifically but..... I've spent time with 50+ airgun barrels at this point, I'd bet around 90% of those are Lothar's, and a large number of that in the sub20 fpe range that I think fits your intended size. LWs generally seem to fit the...

    Marginal gains and barrel/projectile choice

Since the collective shooting sessions that created this post was mostly the build-up/practice for the Arizona State FT match....here's a bit of a follow-up..... The comparison testing mentioned here influenced me to put the .177, 1:36 polygonal barrel back in my prime-time ft rig, the black on...

.20 Ghost on some pdogs this morning

Had about 45 minutes available this morning so took advantage of that and got a few pdogs. Wind was supposed to kick up at any point so I took my slugger, the .20 Ghost. Ended up with a total around 25. The farthest was 230ish yards. Needed 13 mils of holdover, dialed 5 in to the scope, and...

N/A Got an accurate gun? 100 yard 5x5 challenge

I like it Ron, I like it a lot. In my opinion, there's not enough low power/high precision in the current industry push for big power. Your entry is exactly what I love about airguns.

New design AEA Pellets update & comparison to old design

I didn't jump onto the AEA/JTS hype, but all of this sounds very familiar.

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

What's your elevation? Mine only does 700-715fps with the 7.87s. So not even 9fpe. It's got a Maccarri full power kit, with one of the JM Hornet seals. I'm at about 5600 feet though, and I've always attributed the low springer energy to my elevation. All of them that I've tried have been at...

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

Love my HW50s too. I got it in 2013 or maybe 14, so it's one of the airguns I've had the longest. I sure don't shoot it much, being mostly on a PCP kick for a while. But I keep it around for when the springer bug bites again. If you get a chance, please tell us about how yours is tuned.

    Vet 1,s go hunting

I affectionately refer to mine as "the porker." Lots of thick sections of aluminum in that chassis stock. Could have certainly used some reliefs cut into it to shave weight, although "heavy" is conducive to shooting accurately.

N/A Got an accurate gun? 100 yard 5x5 challenge

Came across some old ones... This is the .22 MRD "Lights" from a Ghost @ 950-960. Benched. Three of the five are close to MOA This is from a .20 Veteran, and a bit short of 100, at only 95 yards. Benched. Using JSB .20/15.89s. Also, was shot after dark, which is almost like cheating. And...

    Pellet holder

The nicest hip mounted I've seen/used. https://www.airgunsofarizona.com/mags-clips-loaders-holders/misenheimer-custom-leather-pellet-pouch/ Don't personally own one, but have borrowed a friend's a couple times at the dairies shooting pest birds. They work great for high volume, single-feed...

Field Target is an arms race.

I see your aging eyes, and I raise you my ophthalmic condition: keratoconus. You'd be blown away if I explained my daily process of what I have to do to be able to see. Without the scleral lenses, I'm legally blind. In short, the scleral's require pulling them out of my eyeballs with a little...

N/A Got an accurate gun? 100 yard 5x5 challenge

No sticks in the butt like that. Swap the bucket (or stool) with the sticks and that's basically the idea. Just a smidge harder position to shoot from than a shooting bench. 😬

Field Target is an arms race.

On scopes..... Just ran some numbers from the most recent match I attended, the AZ State match. 31 shooters in various classes for the main event (rifle). First is a copy and past for the scope column from the match report: Next is a quick little spread sheet I put together. The values...

Field Target is an arms race.

To be able to win matches takes both, an accurate gun, and a scope that ranges by focus well and also allows you to see targets. As people have bought more and more expensive scopes for the Hunter class arms race, my preferred 6-24 Midas Tacs have become the low end of the spectrum of...
