Look at it this way. You will eventually have a less expensive gun and more expensive gun. So does it really matter which you buy first? Spend what you can, save up and do it again. Rinse and repeat until you have 10 or more.

Most of my shooting is in the basement at 10 meters. At that distance I can tell if a barrel hates a pellet. No point in trying farther if it won’t shoot @10m. This does not mean that one that does well @10 will do any good @50

The $30 speed meter on Amazon is a wonderful thing. That should be a good compressor, I have the 3. The gun, well many to chose. First is what type of shooting will you do the most? Always under 50y guy has different needs than one who wants to shoot 100y.

How many pumps? I think mine was 600 with 7 grain pellet @10 pumps.

A Marauder is not the latest thing, but still a wonderful rifle. Air Force are rugged and very adaptable. I bought an Air Arms used a few years ago. No fooling around, just shoot perfect every time.

Set it up with irons. You can add or remove a dot with out messing with the irons. Pretend there is a front sight on the bottom two.

I also have that little discovery and it’s a good scope. Less eye relief makes me more picky on what style gun I use it on. I have two of the Hawke dots. The only dots I have liked. i also recently bought a Westhunter compact. I really like that one.

Many of mine are very usable inside 10 yards. As long as I know the hold over LOL I have had both the Bug and the Hawke 2-7. Both work well inside 10Y

Hawke Airmax 4-12 is what I have on mine.

Why three warmups? How often do you have to shoot it to keep it warmed up while hunting?

It was foolish to try to sell mine. It is too good at what it does and can’t be replaced in my line up. My least accurate gets shot the most LOL
