N/A Newcomer here and new to the PCP world

Hey all, new here and new to PCP's, as the title says. Have lurked as a guest for a while and found so much useful info that I had to join. I've had quite a few barrel breaks and pumpers over the years, but just recently got a PCP. Started off by getting the Beeman Underlever .22, which is my...

    Springer vs. PCP

Give the kids a workout until they are stronger. Then any break barrel is available.

    N/A I think I've decided on a Scout Epoch....

It seems you will need the warranty and work on it often, I would choose another pcp as your first. This is only what I have seen as common place in most Skout threads.

    Howdy and greetings from FL

Thanks, y'all! Great to see all the Florida crew! Right now, I'm shooting Weihrauch springers: a HW30 in .177 and a HW95 in .20. I’ve also recently taken the plunge and ordered my first PCP! Just remember, if I miss, it’s not my aim—it’s just my springers trying to keep me humble!

    What was your first PCP?

My first pcp and only one so far is a fx impact m3 .177. And I am thoroughly enjoying it shooting as well as modifying

    Beeman Qb 79 Pcp

First is finding a QB-79 in .22, as there no longer generally available  Then you add a Ninja regulator set at @ 1100-1300 psi ( No higher ) with a 13 or 22 CuIn bottle & Wala you have a PCP :giggle:

    N/A New pcp air rifle.

If you are comfortable with .25 Cal, go for a Vulcan 3 700 mm. Doubtless ! 132 yards group (JSB knockouts slugs 33.5 grain, 960 fps):

    Umarex New Umarex PCP owner

Hello all! I just ordered my first PCP....a Umarex Notos. I should have it in about a week or less and can't wait to start tinkering with it to make it better and as quiet as I can. I have already been searching the site for helpful information, and boy does this site have alot of great...

    N/A Let down

Never been let down by any of the ones I bought. Probably because if I am cosidering anything that cost $500 or more, I researcht the crap out of them before I lay down any cash. You know, the buy once, cry once strategy. The only PCP exception was the Umarex Origin, but it was only $300 at...

First week of owning a Maverick 30.

What kind of ranges were you successful at? I have been considering the maverick as a first pcp. I have a 10 year old son who I am sure will want to shoot it. How old is your son and is the maverick (as a bull pup) pretty well balanced for a younger kid to shoot?

Air Venturi I ordered my first PCP.

Couldn't be happier with the Aveng-X. Sure wish I hadn't waisted time and money on my first rifle, a Gamo barrel cocker. This PCP is much more accurate and usable.

Air Venturi Like it, Love it, Hate it?! The Avenge-X

I have an Avenge-X .25, shooting at 60-61 fpe. It’s my first PCP, so I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but I like it so far.

Other Why so many .25 cal. for sale?

My first PCP was a .22. I still have it, but rarely shoot it anymore. I find .25 to be a nearly perfect caliber for me. You are unlikely to see any of mine in the classifieds. I don't have access to statistics, but I suspect that .25 PCPs are sold in fairly large numbers, and the high numbers...

    lapses of judgment

For my springers I'd been using a duct-seal pellet trap for years with no concerns, no problems. I was doing some velocity testing on my first PCP and didn't fully appreciate how much more powerful they were. I had the PCP on a rest, carefully aligned with the sensors of the chronograph and...

    Umarex Notos not feeding

FX Well, I have gone and done it my first PCP....

If you want an easy way to tune, check out Shooting with Phil on YouTube. His stuff really works. If not, there are MANY videos on how to tune. I, also, have a .22 Maverick Compact. Terrific, accurate gun! Great choice for a first pcp!!

    What a BREECH!

My PCP is for backyard pesting, so semi-auto is preferable to any other configuration. I don't think I've ever needed more than one follow-up shot, but it's a handy thing to have available when in a genocidal rage against all backyard rodents. I've never had an issue with jamming or misfires...
