I dont believe it would hurt it too much, make gun weigh 6.5# and put a nice scope would put it around 7.5# or so, about perfect to carry around in woods. If money is no problem then you could pretty much make it however you want.

BSA R12 and make it a carbine sporter walnut stock and everything else to make it light or a HW100 w/carbon bottle, walnut sporter or T/H stock made to be lightweight and carbine. Not a bullpup fan. Either in .22

My HW100 is dead quiet so is my Taipan Vet 2 other then action noise. Girlfriend even comments how quiet both are. Dreamline Classic w/Tanto mod is very quiet also. All 3 are exceptionally accurate. Forgot my .22 FX Crown .22 w/380mm barrel with Tanto mod is very quiet/accurate also.

I wouldnt say .25 is cheap to shoot, your losing 100-150 shots per tin compared to .22 or .177, .30 your only getting 100-150 shots per tin for same or more money. Best all round caliber is .22 hands down, .25 is better in some things but more expensive. I prefer .22 but really like my .30...

FX and JSB shoot exactly the same in my guns, have both in same magazine on my FX Crowns and can tell zero difference.
