Joe, I also noticed that RTI included a set of thrust bearings for the cocking handle. I assume this is to allow the knurled handles to rotate when cocking the rifle? Steve

Mine is clear too. The photo made it look like a black ring. Here is a closeup of the lens. I have my target face illuminated well and it centers up nicely on the spots. Steve
