As 90+% of my shooting is in dark wooded places, IR is a must have. Maybe an age related thing but loosing sight of the reticle on a dark target is beyond frustrating. Uj

Field Target match on Saturday. 12 fpe springer in the wind. 39/60 and I felt like I deserved every one of them.

Set a budget. Go to a match. See and possibly shoot some of the guns/scopes before used. Inquire as to price of whatever appeals to you. Who knows, if someone there has a rig for sale you might just pick up a bargain. Uj

Shooting a .177 springer on a dark windy February day in Minnesota will definitely increase your scotch intake. Actually I learned this years ago, but I do enjoy a good single malt. Uj
