Turns out my local gunsmith didn't install the barrel on my GK1 properly. It's not screwed in far enough, leaving too much space between the barrel and the magazine. Does anyone know if it's difficult to install and align the barrel on the GK1 yourself? Do I need advanced tools for the alignment?

Not to be a negative nancy, but... doesn't this kinda defeat the whole purpose a compact PCP pistol? I mean, if you're gonna slap a bottle on it, and a stock, and (in some cases) a longer barrel, you might as well buy a Sidewinder instead.

That's a bit of premature statement to make about a gun that's been out for only a few days. How about we save the praise until we have more information and user experiences to go off of. So far there's literally only ONE video where someone actually shoots the damn thing.

It's confirmed to be hammerless. It does appear to have some sort of striker mechanism, since you can cock and de-cock the rifle. I like that. As much as I love my GK1, I can't help but feel a little nervous when Im carrying it, since the gun is basically always "hot".

Pretty sure the .30 has been delayed. It's the only caliber that's not in stock, and the stores in my area say the .30 isn't coming until after the summer... possibly as late as november. So Im not sure how you're planning to review it.

From what I've heard the .30 has been delayed until november. At least where live anyway. Not sure what that means for the .22 and .25 though. But once again a manufacturer fails to deliver in time. I really wish they'd learn to wait with their annoucements until they are sure they can meet...

I guess you're lucky it didn't snap off all the way, or else that back plate could've hit you in the noggin. On the upside, it seems the main block is still fine. So all you'll need is a new backplate, a new rear-sight and 3 screws.

Mine's also in .25, but I don't think they sell slugs that heavy where I live. The heaviest Ive seen here are 40 grainers.

I'm still curious how people manage to get that much power out of their GK1. I've cranked mine up to max power in the past, and shot some reasonably heavy projectiles (38 grain slugs), but mine never came close to the fabled 80 ft-lbs the long version is allegedly capable of, or the 50/60 ft-lbs...
