Sig Sauer New to this just wanna be safe

Pyramyd Air's website states the MCX version of this airgun, in .22, has a maximum fill pressure of 3,000 psi with a regulator setting of 1100 psi. Most recommend refill when pressure approaches regulator setting. Research your pressure settings if not printed on airgun. WM

Sig Sauer New to this just wanna be safe

Madd, Welcome, glad to have you here. Unfamiliar with that airgun but photo shows a male foster fitting near top of bottle. A high pressure air (HPA) compressor should have a fill whip (hose) with a female foster fitting which should attach to that for filling. No need to remove, or empty...

    Umarex Zelos bottle mod

At least, Wes, of airgunarcheryfun, warns of tariffs from China and Canada being combined, less scrupulous stay silent and allow US customers to suffer the shock of a lifetime. WM

New Yong Heng gauge fills to 300 bar but tank/gun only fills to about 225 bar

Try switching out gauge with other Yong Heng. WM

    Different types of Pellets

The rounded head or "dome style" pellet is self-stabilizing, similar to a badminton birdie and pellet guns are designed around this. Slugs, on the other hand, utilize spin and speed for accuracy, just like a football, so slug guns are designed accordingly. Pellet design that moves away from...

GX is now the leader of budget compressors ?

GX-CS is clearly getting more press, likely because everything to be said about Yong Heng has been said. For speed and cost, Yong Heng gets the nod, if portability, quiet and freedom from external water supply is priority, go GX-CS. WM

    Filter upgrade

Vevor produces several HPA compressor platforms, downside of the rectangular box, high-speed fan cooled, multi-power, oil-less, waterless, high-speed filling compressors is a limited 12-18 month lifespan. Pressurizing any larger filter will use up some of that time. Since GX is part of future...

My Journey to Airgun Nation Forum

Welcome, can see echoes of my experience. Retired to a Florida neighborhood under siege by terribly-mannered crows. Trash cans emptied, songbird nests raided and break-of-dawn calls brought misery to all. Tried to address with Crosman 760 for years with little success. Stumbled onto PCPs and...

Conundrum regarding external filter or not

1911Tex, Sounds like you figured it out. Never had dealings with Joe Brancato but I've read of similar experiences, sorry your having to go through it. WM

    shut off and bleed valve

Recommend never starting compressor under pressure. A design which isolates filter while allowing compressor and fill whip to be depressurized sounds better. WM

    Airgun Capital

One hole, Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. Problem is JTS Airacuda MAX, not moderator. Search, "Airacuda MAX," in upper right corner search box for full story, quick version is shrouds were never checked for straightness during manufacture so many went out shaped like a banana...

Please welcome Vector Optics to our list of fine sponsors!

Vector Veyron fanboy, (7) 6-24x44 and (1) 3-12x44. Super-subcompact, lightweight with crystal clear optics, at reasonable pricing, makes for an ideal airgun scope, IMO. Glad to have them join the Nation. WM

    Why buy JSB pellets....

Steve, from AEAC, did a JSB factory tour in 2019, it's on YouTube. Towards the end a co-owner explains the FX and JSB difference in a "MythBuster" section. Basically, JSB sets up machines and dies for a specific pellet run. Machines and dies are of different ages and hours used so pellet...

Is it common to ship a Yong Heng YH-QB01 compressor & what's a ballpark price?

No, don't think it's common, most used ones offered are pick up only. The following is printed on two sides of the original shipping box for mine; MEAS. 49x30x49cm. Actual shipping label lists 47.40 pounds. Take that info to Pirate Ship website, along with TO and FROM addresses, for latest...

Thinking about purchasing this oil water separator....is it a good option? is there a better value i should consider?

Not the end of the world, only positive reports on this GX filter and I'm sure it can be used on different compressor platforms. WM

Thinking about purchasing this oil water separator....is it a good option? is there a better value i should consider?

Agree with AlanMcD, compressor type is key, suggest holding off any oil/water filter purchase until known. WM

Air Venturi Avenge-X Classic. Wood or Synthetic stock? Bottle or Tube?

Wouldn't consider any Air Venturi Avenge-X model as beautiful but Classic (wood grain) tube-fed is sharpest of the bunch, IMO. Prefer functionality over beauty in airguns so synthetic is first choice. Nothing wrong with wood just hate that first dent or scratch. WM

Air Gun Compressor Oil....does this one seem like it would be a good option?

Not all HPA compressors use crankcase oil, GX-CS Series and the rectangular box multi-power, oil-less, waterless, to name a few. Used HUSKY Full Synthetic compressor oil for first two years in Yong Heng, without issue. Switched to SecoLube 500, following Biohazardman's advice. He pointed out...

    Air Venturi Avenge-x on sale

Haven't followed Avenge-X pricing but if anyone asked I'd suggest Pyramyd Air, around major holidays, when special discounts often show up. If PA drops regular pricing to move product, I'd try to combine that with special holiday discounts for extra savings. WM

    Krale Netherlands .

Searching Krale inventory, selecting, "USA" in upper right page dropdown list should reflect gun availability. You can also search what Krale will sell to other parts of the world, using same drop-down list, but I find that too depressing. WM
