Flubbed on my Foray with Burris XTR Signature Scope Rings

I lube along all the mating V grooves as highlighted. My initial tightening is with just bottom ring/clamp half. I push it forward to the rail lug and tighten each screw a little at a time as I wiggle it side to side so both wedge pieces and the ring body "find their center" with each other...

Flubbed on my Foray with Burris XTR Signature Scope Rings

@EEzana4CE I have used these rings for a while now and have found that removing them and reinstalling doesn't ever hsve them as centered as the first time instslled. It's because the two floating wedges don't always align good or consistent. I found that a bit of lube or wax on the steel...

    red dot ???

Muscle memory will definitely play a role, and for the good if you have a good place for cheek weld and consistent hold (so when you bring the rifle up and shouldered the center of the scope is centered with the eye). If you are shouldering the rifle and hunting for the dot, and hunting for...

I have my 45 Long Strike turned up in power so I get seven to eight consistent shots as it fall off on the reg. I refill with air after 6 shots too, and my .995" long HP-RBT slugs weigh about 335 grains.

Something Exciting Is Coming DNT Optics

I see those cast fireballs now. Neat lookibg slugs with a steel.bsll in the lighter unit. Are you using the 145 or 185 grain? And how fast are they shooting in the Rattler?

Western Airguns All Things Western Rattler 357 & 45 - Master Thread

Here's some thoughts as to some swaged slug experiments with the 45 Long Strike... The slug's were made from re-sizing different manufacturer's slugs that ended up weighing around 285 grains, are hollow points with a deep dimple in the back about .890" long, traveling 760-765 fps. What I...

    Droop Mount?

Check out these adjustable scope mount rings. They have quite a bit of adjustment to get you away from a droopy barrel. Monstrom makes a decent set of rings for the price. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=adjustable+scope+mounts

Huben Huben GK1 not precise at all. What I am doing wrong?

I'd suggest getting used to disassembly for the fact that it is a semi auto, and as such with all of it's moving parts, pins and rollers, should be regularly maintained and lubed to operate smoothly. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised as to the difference in the trigger pull with a...

    Huben Huben GK1 Loading Question

@Ezana4CE, what @wimpanzee is referring to, regarding the gun going off when filling because the action completes cycling, also happens after the gun is attempted to be shot when the air pressure is too low and doesn't shoot when the trigger is pulled. Sometimes you can get it to shoot with...

Huben Huben GK1 not precise at all. What I am doing wrong?

It does sound like it is not centering the magazine with the barrel each time. Several things to look at there... could be from lack of lube in the bearing area, or lead shavings causing dragging of the magazine, or the lack of lubing of the mechanical catch and rollers that ride on the magazine.

    Quieter than quiet GK1?

Doesn't anyone like the original Huben moderator? It had a unique baffle system inside and works decent for quiet the pistol. With a moderate tune, my .25 is fairly quiet shooting heavy 34 grain pellets at 810 fps.
