Are the screws too long for the mounting plate? I have heard of that before.

There are two threads on the UK forum. Mostly speculation, I think only one or two members have received or looked through one.

I watched a video & read some brief reviews. Not sure if it's unlimited eye relief but it clearly can be used set well forward on ARs, SCARs, etc.

I've noticed the same thing. It's different from a tight eyebox. Mine definitely blurs when out of alignment. Illumination also bleeds. But I also want to agree with what @ctshooter mentmentioned - the reticle is visible across the magnification range. Much better than their 4x erector line.

I'll try to check mine later. As I recall when I mocked it up on both a Leshiy2 & Classic it sat further forward than other scopes with 4" eye relief.

I have one i haven't mounted yet but based on the mock ups I've done it appears to have more than the listed amount. As I recall someone else noticed the same thing.

I believe that there was a Classic for sale recently that had been re-sealed & tuned by Derrick Wall in Texas.

Are you looking at the Vantage or the Airmax from Hawke? Both the Vantage & the Hawke have adjustable AO down to seven yards. The Vortex is fixed parallax at 50 yards. Vantage is a simple mildot reticle, Airmax is mildot with some additional wind holds, IIRC. I have heard the Airmax reticle...

A few thoughts. Element Optics is said to be coming out with a 3x version of their Hypr-7. Presumably it will have side focus like the current 7x. I have an inexpensive Monstrum 3x. Looking through it indoors at three yards shows a decently in focus image & no noticeable parallax error...

Factory shroud insert or STO or something else? Tuned to the knee or is it a short dwell tune? My dog is getting too old to keep the Marmot away at our cabin so I plan to set up one of my Classics in .25 for close range use.

What projectile & speed?

I think you can go higher than 20 FPE in .25/350mm, but likely still well below what you'd consider fast. My state has a weird law about hunting with airguns, saying that they must be "rated" to shoot 1000 FPS. I tried Polymags in both .177 & .22. I never did get the .22 version up to 1000...

That scope has an adjustable objective instead of side focus.

I'm ashamed to admit I've never seen this movie. Especially so since I was 14 when it was released & already intrigued by airguns, although not allowed to have one. I also grew up very close to where parts of the movie were filmed in Cleveland. I'll have to watch it with my boys.

Also, it is overcast but with a fresh layer of snow here today. Looking at native grass poking above the snow, the reticle on the 2-12x24 is visible across the entire magnification range. For a 6x erector I'm really happy with this reticle. If I were to nitpick a bit, I would point out the hash...
