GX CS-4....... Lost check valve ball

This one...? GX pumps have this as a unit, but 'out of stock' at the moment.

GX CS4 'O' rings supplied with new compressor.

Nope, checked and cleaned the check valve a couple of times. Mine has really worked OK, but even from new as it approached 3000psi the gauge slowed down a lot. I thought at the time that I'd hate to be waiting for it to fill a cylinder to 4000psi. So it's going OK I think. But if I buy another...

GX CS4 'O' rings supplied with new compressor.

Last year I bought a new CS4i compressor. Only 3 hours on it, but it does slow up a lot when getting to 200 bar (~3000psi). Thought I might give it a freshen up with the O ring set supplied with the compressor. But...are there 'enough' supplied to do the job. In one photo below is the complete...

    Muzzle crowns....industry observation

Brand new Anschutz HP 9015 BR50. Sprayed pellets all over the place (well, a 10 shot 23mm group at 25 yards is 'spraying'). Sent Anschutz photos and they didn't want to know about it. Have now cut barrel shroud back to expose the crown, and re cut it in a lathe. Shoots OK now. Can do pretty much...

How to cool a cs4 or cs4-i, even better than just bleeding the air pocket.

Just did mine about 1/2 an hour ago. Mine is the CS4-i model so maybe a slight difference in the fan wire length? Anyway, the sliding out of the pump and flipping it round went fine but my fan wire was a tad too short, so I undid the 4 wee 'nuts and bolts' that attach the fan to the radiator...

How to cool a cs4 or cs4-i, even better than just bleeding the air pocket.

How good is the radiator working in either position? The 'new' way you show in the photo suggests that maybe the hot water could be simply travelling directly from radiator 'in' spout to 'out' spout, and not going right through the entire core. Not knocking your method, as the radiator would...

GX CS4 tear down video (youtube).

I've read a few comments about where to find a video of a CS4 tear down. I watched this video some months ago when I first bought mine. Hope some of you find it helpful.

GX CS4 Compressor - Initial Impressions

The CS4 has the check valve up on top. It's a matter of removing the complete brass 'Burst disc' fitting that's beside the grease pot. Use the tube socket from the tool kit to undo the complete fitting. You can leave the smaller top fitting alone as the burst disc lives under there...you need to...

    O Ring sizer

I use this chart...print it out at full size (it's a PDF so will be accurate). Then just place your O ring on the chart to work out size and thickness. It's a handy wee chart. Has Metric and Imperial sizes. https://www.imperialsupplies.com/pdf/B_O-Ring-Charts.pdf

Compressor - New GX CS4 Performance Issues!

If you do remove the front mounted drain valve fitting, then be sure to wind the actual knob way out (or remove it) before screwing the fitting back in. There's a funny wee 'O' ringed gadget back in there that compresses a bit as you screw the fitting back in and this can bind up if you don't...

Compressor - New GX CS4 Performance Issues!

My CS4-i was fine at first. Then started to work a bit slower, and took a tad longer to reach full pressure. I did the soapy water trick and found that the side mounted burst disc fitting was leaking air. This is the complete fitting where it threads into the main block and also the small 'cap'...

    Old Eyes

Well, I'm not too old to learn a new trick. I have been using eye drops for 'itchy' dry eyes caused by dodgy tear glands in the eye lids. This morning I went out and bought that castor oil and put a drop on each upper eyelid, and gently rubbed it in (I wasn't going to wait until tonight). For...

    fill probe issue

I had the same problem with my new quickfill on my 9015, and a new CS4 compressor. Could not get pressure at all. Someone on here suggested I give the probe and O rings a good grease up (nice sticky silicon grease it was too). Yep...that worked. Pressure started building up immediately.

    Compressor...air cooled or water cooled?

I neglected to return to tell you of an outcome. I bought the GX CS4i. Yes it was dear as NZ Customs wanted their 15% tax on top of the price. But....it's great! The rifle didn't arrive until June/July. I fitted the Josef1000 quick fill (nice piece of kit), and have filled the 9015 cylinder...

Yong Heng, Radiator vs Ice, my results so far (Video added)

Guys, I used to run an alcohol still (completely legal here in NZ. I did make some lovely Rum, and Whiskey!). One thing needed is a way to cool hot steam (from the still) down to a cold liquid state (final product) very quickly. For this a condenser is used, and I think that this may be...

Watchout for those Harris style bipods

Yep, lost a chunk out of a finger tip after owning a new rifle with Harris bipod for only an hour. Tossed that sod of a bipod and bought a Hardy carbon fibre model. They don't bite. Now I'm happy.
