    Yong Heng after piston replacement

I think my YH is on third piston kit now, or maybe forth ?? Every time I put a new piston in - slightly lubed with oil - I run the compressor empty for about ten minutes, to season the rings without a heavy load. On the Amp meter I could see the very first minutes draw higher maybe mid 20 ish...

    Element Immersive?

I have a IO 14x50 and the 5x30-pro. I am not considering these as a paper target punching scopes. For target shooting 50 meter rings I am using x32 power and up, for 100 M x50 power. Same x50 on my W308 up to 500 M.

Scope and Rifle leveling - flashlight and gravity.

Along my years I slowly reorganized my scope accessories, also my tools to work on scopes. - from two piece scope rings - to a single piece mount .... these costs a bit more but I have find them more comfortable working with. - from a horizontal split rings - to and angled cut and vertical split...

    Million Pellets

My average rings punching volume per season (April to November) is about 10K, but I could comfortably do about 20K. .22 and .25 pellets only.

Filtering the Input vs. the Output of the Compressor!

In early days I wanted to save some money and made a pre-filter with colour changing granules. The problem with media filtering the input side is ... you cannot drain it, you need to replace that soaked media more often. And ones I toke my gun apart, toke me enormous time and effort to clean...

    N/A Labradar question

I have my FX radar ver.1 heavy modded, for several years, but I needed one for a new to me W308 I wanted to start reloading diy. I got my orange Labradar from second hand, last summer, from a guy who was complaining about he could never got reliable readings. Also he already bought the latest...

    Randolph front rest

Around my place (Greater Toronto Area) I have no airgun competition places in a big radius, but I have gun ranges and gun clubs at every second corner. Last summer I got into f-class with my W308, and after some tinkering I got myself a ski-bipod from Rempel. Not so shortly after I figure...

    Spanish CPHP what lubrication?

For years I was using lemon pledge in rattle cans. The latest batch of pellets I washed I started using all weather chain lube with ptfe (muc-off MO94 in a can). It is thin and running well and after months in a tin the pellets still slick.

    Immersive 5x30 sourcing

I had it buried deep in these threads probably about 2021 time. I have purchased two IO scopes from Ireland (I believe). Recovered the link from my old emails. Also upgraded one scope (5x30-pro) directly with IO in 2023. http://www.rusmilitary.com/html/sight_immersive.htm

    Pellet lib?

Years ago when I started taking it to a more serious level I have tested most of the pellets in .22 and .25 what was available on the market. I made a pretty long spreadsheet with all my notes. Disposed all junks pellets and buying only those 3-4 in both calibers what was giving me acceptable...

The way it is today with repairing your compressors.

I have a YH for several years now about 68 hr or more so far, 3x rebuilt. The heat kills the piston rings first. Along the way I learned to buy critical spare parts at my own convenient time. Right now I have four full piston assemblies in my drawers. I can replace in a hour and back to the game.

Thomas Air Damaged skirts, does it really matter?

This the same what I found. Much worst inconsistencies from the pellet skirt bottom edge how the excess air catches it beyond the muzzle. Time consuming but polishing the skirts on printer paper will definitely change the perspective.

    EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2 Accuracy

Nice, the longer barrels can really shine. I did a polishing/lapping the ceramic ball pocket in my REPR somewhere early days when that Reg surfaced, and never since I had any problems with it. My .22x500 L2 is currently detuned for low attention seeking mod, 70b, 2x0.8 jets, 15gn Hades @ 750...

    N/A Off the Shelf?

Winning a barrel lottery, uhm... and still polish out the loose and tight spots, re-crown, index tune... and still the pellets consistency can flush all down in the pipe. I have done many magic and woodoo's with my .22 and .25 liners, and got to a point maybe I shall let myself bankrupt...

I hear that for 22 cal a larger can with hair curlers (only) is quieter=lower pitch then a same size can filled with a Tesla valve.

Fastest Pellet Sorter in the Works

This (y) The problem with the Pelletgauge is that the holes are "burn-cut" with a lazer, and the holes ID may be accurate enough but burrs inside walls catching the lead here and there. I gave up sorting pellets by head size because of a lot of time consuming, but I am doing head sizing instead.

    Other What break action pistol/handgun

Available in Canada, trying not to ship anything across the border these days, and has enough knocking power let say up to 10 M, .22 cal comes to mind first. I had a PP750 earlier and now regret trading it. I want to free up my de-tuned L2 from a property damage protection asap.
