    N/A Lightened Piston

Another improvement that can be made to a springer is to have a proper spring guide and top hat. Close tolerance, and as long as it is allowed. My HW 97 did not have a top hat, and the guide could have been considerably longer.

    Gamo Piston seal

I don't know where Vortek gets its stuff! I only bought a HW97 steel kit, some seals and a spring to size/order. And satisfied! If they get it from China, India or Moon, makes no difference to me. Price and quality is what matters to me!

Did you buy any cheap pair of shoes, and try to sell them for a profit??

    Gamo Piston seal

Am not affiliated nor do i advertise for any of them. Just bought seals from around the world for my Gamo. They have shipped me, free of charge, the extractor. Probably promotional. The seal is 6 Euro, close to us$ 6. Bought some from US, Spain, UK, Germany and Australia. I find the CZ to be...

    Gamo Piston seal

Easy to make, i did my own. But here is this, cheap and effective, including a cone that helps installing a new seal. And the seals are great. Are softer, more flexible. https://www.airgunup.eu/product/extractor-for-gamo-g-magnum/

    Gamo Piston seal

They ARE a American company! Are you sure?? Don't get me wrong, am in no way affiliated with them. Just had a few transactions.

    Gamo Piston seal

Everything Vortek sells is top quality! Didn't try yet the new 29mm seal for Gamo. But did find the one from Chech Republic to be the best so far. It is a bit softer, and it works great. A bit cheaper as well.https://www.airgunup.eu/product/piston-seal-gamo-29-open/

    N/A Lightened Piston

A lighter piston will decrease not only the recoil, but also the velocity. That is when a stronger spring comes in. You can order from Vortek the length you want and/or coil dia. you want. I ordered a od sized, and they cut it, flat and grind the ends.

Right. TX pistons need no locking. Thanks for sharing the picture.

    N/A Lightened Piston

You can shorten the piston as much as you like and will reduce some weight. But will have to keep the guide slot, or there will be much more involved in this mod!

    N/A Lightened Piston

Factory piston is 255 g. At least that's what my .22 weights. Adding some slots, i reduced the weight to 205 g. With Vortek kit, shoots 700 fps. with 14.66 gr. pellets. 16 fpe.

    Gamo Piston seal

Thanks for posting it. I like their products. Bought a spring from them to replace the NP ram that i was not happy with. Much better with spring, JMHO.

    Aussie HW 97

First I thought it was a custom muzzle, but then there was the note why they have them holes. Here (Canada) airguns are classified as fire arms , and suppressors are prohibited. Not that they make any difference on air guns. Was just wondering if the factory provides the HW's with them holes, in...

    Aussie HW 97

Have come across this interesting fact, about Weihrauch HW 97 that is being available in Australia. It is required to have holes in the front muzzle tube. According to their law, that is considered a silencer, therefore some holes are to be drilled. Don't know if the factory provides this...

    HW/Weihrauch Skirtless piston

It sure looks cool . Would like to get into it, but realize that is not what I am looking for. The skirt around It sure looks cool, and I may be tempted to get into it, but will not give the results I am looking for. Besides, i don't have access to a decent lathe. Is not only paper punching...

    HW/Weihrauch Skirtless piston

Less recoil, and improved accuracy. At the price of power and speed. Ohh, and some time and money! :)

    HW/Weihrauch Skirtless piston

That is exactly why I took apart the first gun and play with: some said that a lighter piston will increase speed. So i learned how is just the opposite. And, as retired, have some time to skin the cat!! :)

    HW/Weihrauch Skirtless piston

You put it very well: is the juice worth the squeeze! I guess not, not for me, anyways. Have lightened the pistons on my guns and they have less recoil. Am new to this myself. Is just curiosity. The HW 97 piston is 205 g. from 260 factory. It reduced the speed about 30 fps. With Vortek Steel...
